Conservative Christian satire website The Babylon Bee has been suspended by Twitter over a tweet naming transgender US Assistant Secretary of Health Dr Rachel Levine its 'Man of the Year.'
Despite facing the prospect of a permanent ban from the social media platform, where it has 1.3 million followers, the website has struck a defiant tone, refusing to delete the offending tweet targeting the trailblazing government official.
'Truth is not hate speech,' Seth Dillon, the website's CEO, tweeted on Sunday. 'If the cost of telling the truth is the loss of our Twitter account, then so be it.'
On March 15, The Babylon Bee's Twitter account fired off a tweet featuring a link to an article bearing the headline: 'The Babylon Bee’s Man Of The Year Is Rachel Levine.'
It came in response to USA Today's decision to name Levine as one of its women of the year, and as controversy continues to rage over transgender swimmer Lia Thomas.
The story repeatedly used male pronouns to refer to Levine, who identifies as a woman, 'dead-named' her by using her male birth name, and mocked her appearance, describing the senior health official as being 'the first man in that position to dress like a western cultural stereotype of a woman.'
The article continued: 'He is also an admiral in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. What a boss!

If Levine has the XY chromosome (which he does), then he is a man. He may be a man who wears female clothes and make-up, chops up his body and takes hormones and drugs in an effort to look like a woman, but he is still a man. A deluded, mentally ill man.
They’d better not delete it. The left viciously jumps on wounded victims trying to placate them like sharks smelling blood.

Ironically, Twitter “shaming” The Bee has only made The Bee’s stock go up in the public domain.
The Babylon Bee anymore is a heck of a lot more prophetic than any of the televangelists on TV who claim to be ‘prophets’.
I cannot get into Truth Social either. Been trying since it went online. Giving up.
In other news, The Babylon Bee refuses to say the Emperor is wearing clothes.

Before this year nobody ever paid any attention to the USA Today Woman of the Year Award. I'm assuming it existed before this year? Now everybody's talking about it.
Good job of being a self-promoting publicity hound USA Today. Not bad for the paper motels give away for free and everybody throws out.

Businesses are wising up to something that should have been obvious. Something I think most of us already realize.
Nobody needs Twitter. Nobody. Not even Trump.
To be named man of the year is an honor. The fact that the person accorded that honor identifies as a woman is, well, up to that ah "person." The entity conferring the title is entitled to their own opinions too.
In the end, the Bee is a satire site. Everything they do is meant as a joke. Sometimes you're laughing with them, sometimes you might be on the other end of the joke. The inability to take criticism or humor is the mark of a weak, insecure person or entity. Twitter's ban says a lot more about the failings at Twitter than anything about the Bee.
I can see why people are having difficulties. There are probably several million hackers trying to crash the site at any given moment.
I was just getting kinda paranoid about it. Like “Oh, wow, did they just decide to pre-ban me when they got my request to go on the waiting list...?” Like: DON’T LET HER ON THE SITE SHE RUINS EVERYTHING.

Levine’s high profile, administration position and rank are due not to his competence but to the Biden Administration’s desire to check off another diversity category of “openly transgender.” However, by insisting on being referred to as she/her, he is denying or disguising his transgenderism or no longer being openly transgender.
Shoot, I have a friend who is way into the lunacy of the ‘prophets’ on You Tube and she was 100% certain that Donald Trump would have a second term after the 2020 election.
Then she was certain he’d win in the Electoral College. And then he was supposed to be ‘ushered into the White House by angels’ before March 31, 2021. He was then going to be miraculously installed as President before December 31, 2021. Now he’s going to be miraculously installed as President before December 31, 2022.
At this point whatever her prophets have to say my money is on the opposite because these frauds and hucksters are wrong more often than they’re right.
