Horrifying video shows woman shot dead after stabbing cop serving eviction notice
Harrowing bodycam footage shows the moment a San Diego woman was shot dead by cops serving an eviction notice — after she went ballistic and stabbed an officer.
The newly released video shows Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Bunch knocking on the door of 47-year-old Yan Li at the Acqua Vista Condominiums on March 3.
“Here’s a notice to evict,” Bunch tells the woman, who is seen brandishing a large knife at her side, the San Diego Union Tribune reported.
“Put the knife down right now or I’m gonna f—- shoot!” the deputy yells as he draws his service weapon. “Put the knife down. Put the f—- knife down!”

An eviction ending with gunning down the to-be-served. One way to get rid of a resident, I guess.
I assume California will be doing a lot more evictions in the future with now the highest gas prices in the country.
Time to use social workers to serve eviction notices. (Did I do this right?)
I suspect suicide by cop was the ultimate motive here.

He served her successfully and then she closed the door on him after NEVER leaving her apartment or letting him in. Up til then she didn’t really do anything illegal. Why did he call all the other cops and why did they all later enter her apartment? Maybe the original cop felt “dissed”?
IMHO, poor judgement was shown by the cops. Just sayin’.

If just to serve, all he had to do is walk away. His job was done. Had to call backup to do what?
