He served her successfully and then she closed the door on him after NEVER leaving her apartment or letting him in. Up til then she didn’t really do anything illegal. Why did he call all the other cops and why did they all later enter her apartment? Maybe the original cop felt “dissed”?

I would agree. It seems as if at least one of the first officers was itchin’ to shoot someone, his mind went to it right off the bat.

If a duly authorized officer of the law is threatened by a citizen (yes, brandishing a weapon of any type is considered a threat), a crime has been committed.
He has a duty to disarm and arrest the perp.

Nope. That ship sailed when she threatened him with a butcher knife. Then it’s no longer just serving papers. She’s getting arrested for a violent felony and has barricaded herself inside.
