So many people who are posting actively on Ukraine argue as follows: 1. We all hate George Soros, Justin Trudeau and Klaus Schwab. 2. All of those people and many others whom we also despise support Zelensky and the Ukraine and oppose Putin. 3. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. 4. Therefore we should not oppose Putin’s actions in Ukraine and 5. Anyone who does oppose Putin is a neo-con fool who wants to send other people’s sons into a pointless and bloody war in Eastern Europe to a. Distract from other evil scheme they are carrying out including b. Advance the great reset.
By this reasoning the US should not have fought WW II and should not have opposed Hitler because Hitler was opposed to Stalin and Stalin was an evil communist.
This represents an adolescent understanding of foreign policy which assumes that the US should choose its enemies and allies on the basis of the moral complexion of the people who oppose them.
That is childish.

Your post is silly because it assumes so much silliness.
For instance, people who are opposed to US troops and military fighting Russia directly in Ukraine, are not for Putin.
The essence of CONSERVATISM is PRUDENCE.
Most conservatives are for assisting Ukraine, but prudently and not wasting American lives and GDP in any material way.
We cannot fight for them, but support somewhat. Having this prudent conservative American view avoids a nuclear war and also allows for some limited but effective efforts against Putin.
I know no conservatives who love Putin. Just the opposite.
I think world wars are planned out ahead of time and are just a means for those that orchestrate them to exchange wealth. If this is the case then it is in everybody else’s best interests to make themselves of the manipulation and not fall for it.
Do you post on Quora?
Quora has more idiots per capita than any other sight.
The silly assumptions the posters present are not grounded in reality and the site is hyper-lefty with so many young ignorant people.
On your last point I agree 1000%. Our nation is indeed being led by evil lunatics. My only uncertainty is whether they’re also stupid me ignorant or whether they actually how bad what they’re doing really is snd fully intend it. I go back and forth on that.
And I also don’t think we should send US troops to go fight there. We didn’t do that in Hungary in 1956, in Czechoslovakia in 1968 or in Poland in 1981. No reason to do that now either. The suggestion that anyone who opposes Putin wants that is, to borrow from an earlier post on this thread, a straw man.
FR and Patriots.win have a number of either Putin shills or legit conservatives who want to see Biden lose AT ANY COST - including the destruction of innocent women and children. There’s a faction that says, “It’s not my family. Who cares?”
4chan has a group of openly antisemitic posters that say Ukraine has a Jewish leader. They ‘get what they deserve.’
There are non-interventionists and I understand that point. We went two years before getting into WW 2 - and was there ever a clearer evil than Hitler? Yet non-interventionism has been with us since George Washington and I get it.
There’s a small group that buys into the Russian propaganda I suppose. Ukrainian ‘Nazis’ must be stopped.
Usually, it’s back to Trump being impeached over Ukraine. Ukraine is a corrupt country. If the people suffer, their faultfor having crap leadership.
Putin is a thug.
Ukrainian people don’t “deserve” this.
Thanks for calling it out.
The Russian troll farm community will be along shortly to tell you of the err of your ways.
One must not question ze trolls!!
It’s best to link back to the FR page for vanities. No one gets their panties in a knot that way.
There are plenty of valid reasons for what Putin is doing. Whether I agree with them or not is another matter.
Putin is doing what he thinks is in his and Russia's best interests. There may some or zero alignment between Putin's interests and Russia's. We aren't the ones making that calculation and acting accordingly. We are on the outside looking in. What may seem foolish or egregious to us, may be perfectly reasonable to Putin and his staff. We can't know because we don't know what the cost/benefit analysis yielded for them.
Is it not going as they had assumed it would, or maybe it's going exactly to plan. Maybe the goal is not to destroy Ukraine, but to break them enough to where they concede and accept Russian dominion rather than a shock and awe invasion like the blitzkrieg.
For the US, we should stay out of it as much as possible. Send small arms, and food, but no manpower (including advisors). Let them fight this out themselves. It will resolve itself, and it likely will not end the way Putin had envisioned at the start.
They deserve each other. They are both corrupt kleptocracies.
Stalin was a Stalinist ? Whoda thunk it?
Childish is accepting any of the propaganda of the gaslight press.
The "lunatics and evil people" already have conquered America. They occupy and control every level of our federal government, its intelligence agencies, its military, bureaucracy, many state governments, corporations, big tech, etc. They are co-owned by the global elitists and China.
What evils of the world can we expect the US to take on with any hope of success when our "leadership" believes that the greatest threat to a free world are MAGA "white nationalists?"
But, at least the 2020 election wasn't stolen. /sarc
Boom!
Two reasons fighting Hitler was more important than fighting Stalin-
1. Germany was closer to England than Russia. They’re a bigger threat to Western Europe.
2. The Germans are much more efficient than the Russians, which makes them more dangerous. There were plenty of German nationalist groups in Germany that would’ve caused bigger problems for the West than the Nazis. Imagine if a Nationalist leader arose in Germany who wasn’t so hung up on racial superiority. He would’ve let his generals prosecute the war, would’ve allied with Poland against the USSR, and got serious payback on the French and British.
He made a deal with him. Stalin would have joined the Axis in a second.
nine of every ten German soldiers killed in WWII was killed by the Russians. That is a lot of them
Since there is no “good guy” in this conflict, we should stay OUT of it. But I will ROOT for the underdog.
Hitler was a Hitlerist.
FDR Supported Stalin because FDR and his wife, Elenore, were both communist.
First, we stuck our nose in Syria. McCain was meeting with ISIS leadership. We funded what became ISIS, who in turn slaughtered the Christian population and became a nation security threat. Why? All to stick to Russia and try to eliminate Assad, who was and is the lesser of two evils in Syria.
Then, under Obama, we fomented a revolution in Ukraine that sought to cutoff Russian access to the Black Seas, which is sure hell isn't anything any Russian leader would put up with. Then, Biden gets into office and encourages Ukraine to mount an offensive in pro-Russian Donbass.
Russia had every bit as much a reason to consider what we were doing in Ukraine to be a national security threat as we did when the Soviets were trying to install missiles in Cuba in the 1960s.
The globalists, Obama. Biden, Soros, neo-cons and their donors in the defense industry have been aggressively anti-Russian regardless of the cost to our national security.
The cost in this case is exploding inflation, pushing Russia into an alliance with China and, likely, the end of the dollar as the world's global currency. We're now in another Cold War with a nation armed with a massive nuclear arsenal.
Whether its globalism or feeding the defense industry by stirring up hatred for Russia, our foreign policy is corrupt and become a danger to the citizens of this nation.
It's absolutely pathetic that conservatives can be lead around by the nose by invoking hatred for Russia by the very people most despise. It's truly the most bizarre thing I've seen in some time.
But, the Biden regime and the neo-cons have found a way to unite the much of the right around their agenda. It's sickening.
“I never understood why FDR decided to ally himself to Stalin, who murdered more of his own people than Hitler did.”
Well, Stalin didn’t declare war on us. Hitler did.
