The late Jerry Lewis has been accused of sexual assault and sexual harassment by a string of his former co-stars.
Lewis - remembered by many as 'The King of Comedy' - died of natural causes in 2017 aged 91, and now an exposé documentary by Vanity Fair alleges that he mistreated actresses Karen Sharpe, Hope Holiday and many others.
The documentary feature released Wednesday, titled The Dark Side of a Hollywood Icon, was helmed by Amy Ziering and Kirby Dick who produced HBO's sensational Allen v Farrow, that documented accusations of sexual abuse brought against Woody Allen by his daughter Dylan Farrow.

i dont know much about him. i read through some of the comments and it seems he had a reputation of not being very nice.
I’m not sure learning that Hollywood is/was/will be infested with folks preoccupied with sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll is exactly a news flash.

I had heard these rumors going back a few decades.

I just assume anyone in entertainment or Hollywood is a pervert or a prostitute.
He wrote a good book about his relationship with Dean Martin. But most of what I’ve read indicates he wasn’t a nice guy...and the normal behavior of famous men in the 50s/60s (Kennedy, Sinatra) was hideous. In their defense, a lot of women were happy to go along...
if someone comes out with a tell all on Don Knotts that he was some kind of womanizing ladies man that will just be the final straw...;-)

Exactly. That's what I think of these late-comers too...and I'm a woman. I have no respect for anyone who kept their mouths shut at the time, and took the money instead. What purpose does this serve now? If he had done these things, it would have been better for them to step forward at the time, to protect other women from having to go through it. They only thought about their pocket books, which tells me, whatever harassment they claimed happened, didn't really amount to a hill of beans. They compromised their values and morals, for a paycheck. Screw them.
It’s like “Casablanca” where the head of police is “Shocked!” to find gambling going on, just as the croupier hands him his winnings.
People in Hollywood are “Shocked!” to discover that everyone in Hollywood is “that way”.
Too bad Vanity Fair can’t find a celebrity that’s, you know, still alive, to expose their bad behavior.
I give him credit for all the money he helped raise for muscular dystrophy.....that’s about as far as it goes.
Saw a documentary recently that revealed he had heat with Dean Martin for a long long time....might have been common knowledge to most but I never heard it.
I’ve never heard anyone disparage Dean Martin ever.
