Every year I stock up on Aldis point cut corned beef which is ALWAYS on sale in the weeks leading up to St. Patrick's Day for only $1.99/lb. It's been $1.99/lb for years including this time last year when it went on sale.
So today I got a sneak peek at an Aldis ad which you can see below and that same product is now $2.99/lb. A full 50% increase. Yet another example of Bidenflation. I was hoping to score it again for the low price of previous years but thanx to mush for brains that corned beef is now apparently a full buck per pound HIGHER.

Go to different stores. Send in a different person, always use cash. There is a way.
Looks like it has a limit of two this year.
Eggs are double or nearly that here from even 6 months ago.
Butcher I go to was selling his last three Legs of Lamb at $2 a pound this afternoon... he is closed Sun/Mon...
What is that normally (prior to JRB, Jr.)?
I have no problem paying $2.99 a pound for Aldi’s corned beef. Grocery stores in our area currently have it at nearly $9 a pound. I don’t recall Aldi’s corned beef being $1.99 pp, but I do recall paying about $3.49 or $3.79 a pound in the past couple of years. I will be glad to pay $3 a pound for their corned beef! Think I’ll get by there tomorrow!
It was done yearly in the weeks leading up to St. Patrick's Day and it was ALWAYS $1.99/lb... until this year.
i’m sure someone with an EBT card will snatch that right up anyhow.
And the ad says Limit 2.
That’s two per visit.
Go back a few times.
Hah!
When the Nintendo Wii was a hot item in the mid 2000’s, I had a friend who did just that. There was a limit of one per person, but if you came back into the store five minutes later they would let you buy another one.
Locally, their sirloin beef steak went from $4.99 to $9.99 several months ago. I haven’t checked recently.
At another store, small avocados (bag of 5) jumped from $2.98 to $5.99.
My winter heating (natural gas) typically was in the $60s in January/February. Last winter it jumped to the $80s. This winter, the last bill was $124.
My parents recall eating king crab because they were too poor for other meat. Times change.
I need to get a pack of those.
I have used coupons a lot. However, for meat the task is tougher although I did stock up 3 dozen packs of bacon for just $2.50 each last October by using coupons.
I have laying hens, so I don’t often buy eggs anymore. But this week I saw the price of chicken feed has gone up again. I’m going to try and grow more of their food myself this year. We’ll see how that goes.
Canning corned beef is easy and makes good sandwiches and soup.
So you're saying I can get a package of points cut corned beef and stick it in a can?
