Russia has mocked claims made by Western media outlets that an “invasion” of Ukraine will begin at 3am on February 16, with Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov saying that Ukrainians who believe such things are welcome to stay up.
“It’s better for them to set alarms for this time and see for themselves,” Peskov jokingly told RIA Novosti shortly after midnight on Wednesday, when asked whether Ukrainians can sleep peacefully or need to worry.
President Vladimir Putin’s press secretary was commenting on reports in a number of Western outlets – notably several British tabloids – that Russia would “invade” Ukraine at 3am local time on Wednesday (0100 GMT). The outlets cited anonymous US intelligence officials as sources for the claim.

Too funny. Slow Joe gets a head up on coming Russian war games near Ukraine border, and schemes with Pravda, I mean MSM, to let Slo Joe bloviate and huff and puff, and scare Putin to keep him from nuking Ukraine.
(Hint: for the slow folks...Putin was never intending to do anything but war games, and Biden knew it. But, Pravda, I mean MSM, would go along to hide the fact Russia had a planned war games, in order to scare the bejeebers out of you and me.)
Then, when Putin wraps up and everyone goes home - like they had always planned to do - MSM would hail Slo Joe as one brave take no prisoner leader. Then, you and I would be so impressed with Lunch Bucket Joe.
It is not I, or you, who put this joke in the White House. I resent being a joke.
Actually it is pretty funny, especially if they don’t ever attack. That’s my current expectation.
However if they do actually attack, in the not too distant future, then the comment is rather chilling. Not only would it show they aren’t afraid of NATO’s response, they’re mocking it in advance. Like a cat playing with a mouse.
I’m not disappointed that Russia did not invade Ukraine. Now we can go back to expanding NATO and evicting the Russians from Donbass, Crimea, Georgia, Finland, and the Kuriles.
