Sure, a joke, but wouldn’t put it past Putin to prank the joke by actually invading then.
Wouldn’t surprise me if the Kremlin discovered hidden mics or other spy tech and decided to have a phony war conversation to get a reaction and embarrass the White House. If so, they bought it hook, line, and sinker.
On the other hand, it also would not surprise me if the White House made up the whole thing as a pretext to preemptively attack Russia and start a war.
Why would they do this?
1) They think it would give Biden and Democrats a political boost as he would become a wartime president.
2) They hate America and know that war with Russia will be very harmful to our economy, safety, and overall health as a nation. It will further their ongoing efforts to dismantle our nation and auction it off to line their own pockets.
Or they did it as an excuse to dump more money on the Ukraine, with 10% going to The Big Guy.
Too funny! Blinken is an idiot. And Nuland won’t get her war. Nor Cheney.
CIA may have a false Flag attack planed on Dombass, just to gin things up. Or a full scale Cyber attack to blame on Trump. No wonder they know—they are planning it with Ukrainian operatives.
This wasn't just western media outlets. It was Biden saying his "sources" told him.
All of this nonsense should be laid at that old coot's foot. His lies about severe consequences and all that in the 2nd phone call to Putin, threats about this and that are all lies. Lies until he releases a Russian verified transcription of the call. Nothing brilliant in his foreign policy nor his backbone wrt Putin.
What is easing all this is the Ukraine's latest indications they'd be willing to forego admission to NATO. That's what this is about.
The media will tell us Biden’s strong leadership scared the Russians away.

It’s still the dream of Putin to bring back together the old USSR, and Ukraine is a huge piece of the puzzle.
Once the Ukrainian piece is put in place, all the others will be easy pickings. There is no U.S. or EU to stop Putin from getting his wishes and dreams come true.
Soul or no soul, he played the President, his administration, Miley, and the media like there were 400 year old Strat violins. They were had, big time. He made them, and the whole U.S. citizens by proxy, look like fools for allowing them to lead this country.
