Aggrieved swimmers learn the hard way to speak out against transgender tyranny

The ultimate lesson from sports and life is already in play — do not be afraid.

According to Aristotle, courage is the "first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees the others." Courage is the one virtue that ensures all other virtues, which explains why "Do Not Be Afraid" defined the papacy of John Paul the Great. This wisdom is being borne out today by everyday people — Canadian truckers, parents at school board meetings, inquisitive celebrities, and Turkish basketball players.

And female swimmers at the University of Pennsylvania. Last week, sixteen team members finally expressed their concerns to the NCAA and the Ivy League over having a male team member, whose biological advantages as a male are making competition unfair toward females. The most chilling part of the letter was the statement (emphasis added):

We have been told that if we spoke out against her [sic — the male swimmer calls himself a female] inclusion into women's competitions, that we would be removed from the team or that we would never get a job offer.

For a while, those threats worked. Many had already expressed their frustration anonymously. But anonymity is not courage. Courage requires accepting the consequences.

But what silent dissenters don't realize is that they are already going to suffer these consequences, and they will also have the guilt of not speaking up. The bullies are winning when you are silenced and afraid. And they already know who you are.

I got the impression the entire meaning of the letter put out by the teammates was a way of telling people they had been threatened.

Did I mis-read that?

America needs a renaissance. Righteous need to awaken and eliminate special considerations to blax. We need to force fag pervs back into the closet. We need to dismantle federally funded education and get back to actual learning.

Etc.

One of the things that makes me ambivalent about this story is that the whole issue reinforces the underlying irrationality of “women’s sports” as an institution. Women’s sports has always been an inferior imitation of men’s sports (i.e., REAL sports). That’s why the whole controversy about these mutant trannies is very one-directional. The idea that you’d ever see this played out the other way (women trying to compete against men) is so ludicrous that nobody even considers it.

The female competitors in this NCAA have a point, and I wish them well, but when I look at it objectively it has all the moral and political urgency of Special Olympians complaining that one of the competitors isn’t really retarded.

I remember a few years back a woman golfer wanted to compete with the men in a tournament. She claimed she was just as good and demanded to play. They gave into her demands and guess what, she came in DEAD LAST.

Again, I have no empathy. Women championed this shit.

Eat Crow!

Title IX

Also called Patsy Takemoto Mink Equal Opportunity in Education Act, states that “no person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”

When did this happen? I thought the team issued a statement saying they all supported having WilLIAm on the team?

Dissenters are identified. They are censured. They are fired. They are blackballed. Their postings are deleted. They become non-persons.

1984 or the USA under fascism?

That’s what I always think. Sports are fun for everyone - TO PLAY. Not all sports are fun to watch. If you are PLAYING sports, regardless of your gender, then you’re having fun (unless you get hurt or you’re losing). If you are WATCHING sports, watchability becomes a factor. Women’s sports are not as fun to watch as men’s sports. (Volleyball is kinda fun; however, that’s mostly because of all the grunting and groaning and the amount of skin that they’re showing.) (That rhymes!)

Everyone should try to do some kind of athletics - it’s not just good for the body, but also for the mind. (And in the case of me trying to throw the frisbee with Mr K - not the one on this forum - it’s always good for a few laughs.)

But if you want people to WATCH a sport (and bet on it; everyone knows betting’s the main reason some sports are so watched), reason dictates it has to keep the watchers’ attention.

And you know, if women were to train and take drugs and etc until they COULD be competitive with males, nobody would want to watch THAT, either!

You're seeing modern feminism turned upside down before your eyes.

If gender is a self-defined characteristic, then Title IX doesn't mean anything, there's no such thing as "gender" under U.S. civil rights laws, and -- here's the best part -- women never had any business competing in segregated sports competitions in the first place.

If women are really equal to men in all respects, then they can compete with them on a level playing field in sports as well as the corporate board room.

#WINNING.

Equality wiith women means they get to get into the boxing ring with a man of their choice, a 20 y.o. woman vs and 85 y.o. asthmatic man. They dont want equality with able bodied men. They beat up an old man and believe they are equal to all men.

the problem is these types of women haven't been punched in the face by an able bodied man. That would solve a lot of these gender issue problems

The law needs to change if women want equality. If a man is hit or threatened, he should be able to defend himself- man or woman.

What is needed is a new private organization for exclusively female athletes. Let the NCAA have their tranny competition. Of course the new organization will be branded as anti gay, racist etc and will have to endure lawsuits and denigration by the media. However, their competitions would be welcome in states like South Dakota. People will soon grow tired of tranny games and their revenue will dry up.
