When I moved from the US to the Netherlands five years ago, the grocery store was an adjustment.

Some ingredients I used to buy, like chocolate chips, aren't available here. But it's possible to find some American ingredients and snacks in the foreign-food aisle of a Dutch grocery store.

Candy bars might come as a bottled shake

I usually have a box or 2 of the dehydrated stuff in the pantry, it works in a pinch.

Indeed. More frustrating, the bases for the software delivery were in Wales. I have been learning Welsh for years and would have enjoyed being on the delivery team. That didn't happen.

Yup. Screen name is the native Welsh spelling for Merlin. The city of Carmarthen is Caerfyrddin in Welsh. Caer is "fortress". Caerfyrddin is Merlin's fortress.
