I have a neighbor who has a tesla. They let it sit too long so a service vehicle was deployed. A Ford Van. It was pretty funny. The service guy said his coverage range was so small no EV would be up to the task.

Brand-new Tesla Model 3 owner April Gilmore's Tesla 2022 Model 3 Performance was missing a brake pad.

Well, if the Mob Rule US Government would just get those awful gas and diesel powered vehicle off the road, April wouldn't need brakes.

Missing brake pad? Reminds me when I bought a brand new 4-wheeler Dodge PU back in 1976. When I complained to the Dodge dealer about the breaks pulling I was told its normal ; when I complained about going through (not burning) a lot of oil, I was told that was normal.

Turned out that the rotors were on backward (as I recall), and the rings on the pistons were in a line, so the oil just poured through. Seems there was a strike at the factory and these things were deliberately done by the workers.

I once had a new Honda delivered without any automatic transmission fluid.

It went 14 miles.

Though Tesla is not exactly a leader in quality, a lot of these things have been happening recently with cars and other products. I’d attribute it to labor shortages and the general decline of skill. With more and more Boomers retiring, the smartasses might be saying, “OK boomer - can you come back to your old job? For more money?” - if that hasn’t already been happening.

If Tesla borrowed a QC expert from SpaceX, that person would probably stroke out an hour or two into the job.

If the final assembly is in the US, there’s no telling what you will find. Tesla’s aren’t exempt. I had a Honda Civic assembled here. It took many trips to the dealership. It was a piece of junk compared to those assembled in Japan.

For all of you anti Tesla folks.......... get ready.

Tesla will dominate the EV auto market in 2022 and is going to destroy Ford and GM. They lack everything needed to keep up.

Tesla is in Texas and is powerful technically, financially, and politically

Chrysler? Don’t know because Jeep is strong and Chrysler is Fiat.

We honestly don't understand how anyone watching the video could think the brakes were "normal."

About the same way the court could listen to and agree with a repair shop saying that putting the lug nuts back on BUT NOT TIGHTENING THEM was "completed work".

People hear what is in their interest rather then the truth.

Tesla also is known for turning off functionality in a car (like adaptive cruise, intermittent wipers, seat heat, etc) as it’s being being resold, then charging the new owner if he wants it turned back on.

They also on at least one occasion took one of their own cars in trade and resold it as new, despite the previous owner wrecked and repaired it.

And the Tesla sales contract contains an agreement to cede your right to litigate and accept an arbitrator of their choosing instead. So you can’t sue them.

yeah, the ol’ “that’s normal” from the service dealer ... back in the day, i had brand new nissan pickup burn massive amounts of oil and blow black smoke the first week i bought it and was told that was “normal break-in” ... right ... what it REALLY was was a factory-installed head gasket giving out right out of the gate ... turns out A LOT of that was happening with that model that year ..

Let me guess millennial technician said brakes were normal. He should be fired and charged with reckless endangerment.
