Athletes Who Had COVID Will Be Considered ‘Fully Vaccinated,’ NCAA Says in New Guidelines

The NCAA on Thursday released its new COVID-19 (WuFlu) guidance for winter sports, and the guidance contains some important news.

As ESPN reports, the NCAA’s COVID-19 (WuFlu) Medical Advisory Group updated its definition of “fully vaccinated” to account for various new vaccinations, boosters, and immunity factors.

“Fully vaccinated individuals now include those within two months of receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, five months of receiving the Pfizer vaccine series or six months of receiving the Moderna vaccine series;” reports ESPN staff writer Jeff Borzello, “and individuals who are beyond the aforementioned timeline and have received the booster vaccine.”

But perhaps the biggest development came in the following line.

“Individuals within 90 days of a documented COVID-19 (WuFlu) infection fall within the equivalent of ‘fully vaccinated.’”

“Individuals within 90 days of a documented COVID-19 (WuFlu) infection fall within the equivalent of ‘fully vaccinated.’”

So, if I had COVID in early January, then I am *ahem* fully vaccinated until early April? But then I'm not *ahem* vaccinated? And I'll have to either catch COVID a second time, or else get jabbed in April? Is that it?

Just in time for the funeral of our current vaccines as per the CEO of Pfizer!:

Meanwhile our current vaccines are basically worthless as per the Pfizer CEO!

Pfizer CEO: Our Vaccines Offer ‘Limited, If Any Protection’

Speaking during remarks to a J.P. Morgan healthcare conference this week, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla openly stated current vaccines the company developed for Wuhan coronavirus offer “limited, if any” protection against contracting current variants of the disease. He then encouraged booster shots.

The statement from Bourla comes as the Biden administration continues to justify vaccine mandates for federal workers, contractors and private businesses. The Supreme Court heard arguments about President Biden’s mandates for private companies and medical workers last week. A ruling is expected soon on the constitutionality of the mandates.

A number of people who have pointed out the waning efficacy of Pfizer’s vaccines, which Bourla touted last year as being “100 percent” effective against contracting or transmitting the virus, have been banned by social media companies.

Not likely to walk back there is now plenty of quantified serological testing to prove that antibodies from a 90 day or recent infection have a high enough titer level to prevent reinfection with the same variant. Outside 90 days the levels in the majority of people drop below the critical threshold for infection. This is why the time limit of 90 days. People who have had covid and gotten the vaccines have 100 to 1000 times the antibodies titers of those who just recovered from infection again there are dozens of peer reviewed data sets to back those numbers up with tens of thousands in the N values of those studies. The Lancet has at least half a dozen up for review for those with the reading comprehension skills to understand what the science is showing.

I agree. They finally had a motivation greater than following the enormous social herd. That’s money.

However, this is still a good sign. Very possibly it is finally the turning of the paradigm that ignores the viability of actual immunity

So precedent is being created.
They pass this, then a good lawyer will be able to apply this to other areas.

They aren't coming to their senses.

They are only coming to the realization that their stupid COVID regulations will ultimately mean no NCAA sporting events would ever be held again.

Notice that this only seems to apply to ATHLETES. How many of these schools are applying the same standard to ALL of their employees and students?

Natural immunity finally counts, somewhere.

But only 2 months for the J&J means 6 injections per year, which is insane. And mixing and marching has proven quite dangerous in several studies. Even then they only give you 5 to 6 months.

They still can’t just admit it. I had the measles as a kid. And mumps. And over the following years was around kids who had them. Never had them again. Why? Because unless you have something wrong with your immune system you’re protected - especially only a few years after you catch something.

I wonder if 90 days is just a start to get people used to it and to save face. Then it goes to 180 and so on.

Outside 90 days the levels in the majority of people drop below the critical threshold for infection

What is the critical threshold? For example, the Labcorp antibody test has a scale of < 0.8 u/mL as negative > 0.8 to 2500+ as positive for antibodies. But nobody seems to say what the minimum threshold is and, in fact, the CDC discourages people from checking their own antibody level in fear that individuals will not take a vaccine. It's insane that anybody was ever injected with a vaccine before their antibody levels were checked and logged. This would've provided a treasure trove of data as outcomes were followed up on. If they had this data they could give guidance such as ">1000 u/mL" is considered sufficient and no vaccine or booster is needed. Instead, they promote this ridiculous policy of constant boosters (which are variants behind) and haven't pushed for therapeutics at all (and in fact are withholding some).
