Former president Donald Trump has hurt his chances for a second go of the presidency, if he plans to run. By recently saying, "The vaccine is one of the greatest achievements of mankind," he dismayed a large swath of supporters who consider the COVID shots one of mankind's greatest failures.

One of the hardest things in the world to do is admit being wrong. Pride is widely considered to be the worst of the seven deadly sins. There's also plenty of pride going around within the CDC, FDA, and NIH these days, with devastating consequences as the COVID shots maim and kill more and more people and as life-saving drugs such as ivermectin are suppressed. By ruefully acknowledging the COVID shot blunder, Mr. Trump would actually gain his supporters' respect.
Or perhaps he genuinely thinks the COVID shots are a success. If so, he nevertheless surely must realize by now that unlike real vaccines, they don't prevent infection and transmission. The best they can do is perhaps reduce COVID symptoms for a few months. And they appear to even confer negative immunity — making it more likely that the jab recipient will get COVID, at least with omicron. Buried in a German government report (p. 14) were data indicating 4,020 cases of fully jabbed people versus only 186 who were not jabbed. That's 96 percent to 4 percent, in a country where 71 percent of citizens are fully jabbed. This is consistent with studies indicating that the jab may alter the immune system — for the worse.

Essentially, Op. Warp Speed short-cut all of the normal vaccine safety trials. Trump even bragged that they bought millions of shots before the EUA was approved.
It is not safe to assume that he doesn’t already have it. He is making these statements for a tactical purpose of his own. We don’t agree with him, but all we can do is keep repeating the truth.
Well, I don’t know what people expect. Trump is not a humble man, he is a narcissist, so he’s not likely to admit he was wrong. He’s still about the only person who has a chance to get elected who would actually fight the left though.
You’re right - sometimes it’s no use to try to figure this stuff out. I doubt if DT is that dumb that he’ll just play along to keep peace in the family. But it’s out of our hands. He’s not our dad, he’s just a guy we don’t know very well and have no control over.
Yadda yadda yadda. One either trusts President Trump or one doesn’t. I trust him therefore I am willing to let him play the verbal politics anyway he chooses.
Besides, the people who went into the capitol were utter morons whom were easily duped by the likes of Ray Epps and the other feds that were egging them on. And even at that, we had smart Trump supporters telling all the dummies not to go inside because it was a setup, and they still went inside so screw the dumb asses that actually went inside, it’s their own fault that they’re in jail.
Besides all you and your ilk are interested is ideological purity.
Though I'm beginning to wonder if the "vaccines" are not much more than placebos, too many people are forgetting that President Trump demonstrated through Operation Warp Speed what could be accomplished if the federal government got the hell out of the way.
Trump is 100% spot on.
Operation Warp Speed was a great success. The government did accomplish something by pushing for the rapid development, testing, mass manufacture and distribution of these vaccines.
***The key difference is that Trump would have NEVER made the vaccine mandatory.***
***There would have never have been required reporting (in violation of medical privacy rights), and government condoned/promoted discrimination of employment, benefits, limitations of basic rights (freedom of movement) based on vaccine status.***
***Trump would have never (and in fact he did support hydroxyquinoline) ignored therapeutics like the Biden administration and Fauci are.*** Are people forgetting now how Trump was exploring all options (and vehemently attacked in the MSM) and did stand behind those medical professionals that supported some of these therapeutics?
***Trump would have tried to limit the damage done by fear of this disease, rather that fueling it.*** Unlike Fauci and Biden that talk about it endlessly and how this will be a winter of “sickness and death” for those unvaccinated, Trump would minimize the extent of damage done by the fear itself.

For those that want the vaccine, great. Take it. It's an option that is available to you and it may even provide some protection or help bring about herd immunity.
Trump can be proud of his accomplishments as President, and the Covid vaccine is one of these.
Do NOT obfuscate what the current administration is doing with what Trump was doing when in office. Trump would have handled things very differently today and we are projecting what Fauci and Biden are doing today onto him. That is not fair to Trump!
Trump doesn’t do anything without a reason. We are in a war against a Satanist cabal. They had planned to lock us all down for at least 5 years. Our economy would have collapsed, there would have been no food and no healthcare. Millions would have died then they would have brought in the vaccine to finish the job. Those of us who survived would be in a communist gulag.
Trump made a hard decision. He brought in the vaccine in one year and made it voluntary and saved millions of lives. And saved our country. He sacrificed some to save many.
What we are looking at here is the difference between opinion and mandate. As long as it is Trump’s opinion we should get vaccinated, then all is well. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I even have one. But do not try to FORCE me into your opinion with mandates and laws.
I agree with all of your points. If Trump pointed out exactly those points he could avoid association with what is going on now. That is what he needs to do.
Trump specifically and repeatedly called for his followers to come to the Washington DC on January 6th to protest the election results. On that day, he gave a short speech outside the White House, then he asked them to all meet him at the Capital building. They trusted him, and faithfully went there. But Trump never actually showed up. In fact it doesn’t appear he even attempted to go there as promised.
the people who went into the capitol were utter morons
For trusting Trump? Apparently even more than you? Some are probably now still sitting in jail for their devotion.
If it comes down to either trusting Donald Trump or the present administration, I don’t see where there’s even a choice. The year 2021 has made that abundantly clear. If DT would be re-elected in 2024, he would need an extra year as president just for arrest warrants & jail sentences before getting on with running the country again.
Trump is NOT a Freedom guy, he's a populist.
There is no part of our thoroughly rotten central govt more swampy than the NIH. And no part of capitalism more crony than BigPharma with its death grip hold over Congress/Admin/media/etc.
Instead of fighting against those perennial enemies and for the American style Freedom which would have handled the virus in record time without destroying millions of lives and businesses, he brags about giving the swamp slimes Warp Speed authority and legitimacy.
There is simply no way to spin his Covidian behavior as something beneficial to a Free Republic. And there is no indication he would do anything different for the next phony crisis. Trump IS a BigGovt guy. Fortunately Trump entirely failed in his first attempt to Make America less-than-Great Again - TrumpRyanCare.
That being said, he did also do many Great things as president. That is no reason to gloss over his gigantic failures. Especially when there is time before 2024 to steer him and America away from the BigGovt cliffs.
It would be fantastic if someone more Freedom-oriented got into the 2024 ring. Either to win it outright or to force our favorite bigger-than-life character to convert to a more objectively Freedom-driven guy instead of the entirely subjective Greatness guy - now that we know his vision of Greatness includes things like SwampJabs.
The VSG myth is dead. It matters very little what Trump says about mandates. You did not need to be a genius to predict that Trump's SwampJab would be used to crush Freedom. He built the gun and gave it to our enemies - what dope thinks they won't use it?
It is OK by me if some folks here wish to convert the Free Republic into the Trump Republic, just be honest about it.
The problem is Trump got conned by the mRNA vaccine technology promoters when historically there had never been a mRNA vaccine that had successfully cleared FDA trials.
That’s why these vaccines are released under emergency approval within a few months of substandard trials when they would have never cleared years of rigorous testing that FDA approvals usually require.
Trump may be proud of rushing this vaccine by bypassing the usual approvals, the resulting wide spread side effects are his legacy.
“The vaccines basically put ‘rabbit catchers’ in one’s body ahead of actual infection.”
You must think we are incredibly stupid to write a post like this. Do you know the difference between the mRNA covid jabs and traditional vaccines?
Trump told them to go to the capitol and to “protest peacefully, always keep it peaceful”, but you progressive assistant Democrat never Trumper infiltraitors never seem to remember that peaceful part.
Funny how the media doesn't play that clip. ha ha
Hey dummy, Trump has never been pro mandate so your entire claim that Trump is not pro freedom is ignorance personified. Your pals on the Dems side are Nazi scum, ho back to DU where you and your ilk belong.
Hey!
I'm not sure you understood my point that getting into bed with the swampiest part of DC and the croniest part of BigBiz to create a WarpSpeed SwampJab was Trump's real failure. He never gave Freedom a chance. We'd have been much better off with NO fed level 'help'. Unless that help would have been to get the feds off our backs regarding available cheap and effective treatments.
