Asteroid 2021 YQ
The asteroid is about the size of a large commercial airliner (~200 feet) is expected to approach within 1,330,000 miles of Earth on January 5, 2022.
The last time 2021 YQ approached Earth's orbit was on December 7, 1902.
Asteroid 2021 YX
is also expected to approach Earth on January 5, 2022, though it will be a little further at 2,390,000 miles away.
This rock is about 100 feet wide...This asteroid has never approached Earth before...
Asteroid 2014 YE15
This 24-foot wide rock is expected to approach Earth on January 6, 2022, and is about the size of a bus.
Asteroid 2014 YE15 is expected to be the furthest out...around 4,600,000 miles away.
Asteroid 2020 AP1
will come closest to Earth at about 1,080,000 miles away on January 7, 2022.
Though this asteroid will come nearest to Earth, it is thankfully the smallest at 13 feet wide...
Asteroid 2013 YD48
NASA's report concludes with asteroid 2013 YD48, which is expected to approach Earth on January 11, 2022.
This massive rock is 340 feet tall (The famous London clock tower Big Ben is about 315 feet tall) and will come within 3,480,000 miles of Earth.
The last time this object approached Earth was in March 2014.
It is expected to orbit back around towards Earth in 2030.

Mrs. and I watched it last week. I thought it was brilliant satire. It showed the politicians and media for what they really are arrogant and narcissistic.
It WAS a fun movie, but you have to watch it all the way to the end.

There’s.a reference to this event in at least 7 passages in the Bible, I believe. (See Isaiah 2, Joel 2, Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, and Acts 2.) I also think it is describing a singular event in which a solar and lunar eclipse occur simultaneously. That has never happened. The closest they can ever come together is a little over 2 weeks because the moon must ordinarily be between the earth and Sun for a solar eclipse, and on the opposite side for a lunar eclipse. But in this case I think it is describing an event where some other unknown body comes between the earth and Sun while a lunar eclipse is happening. When Christ was crucified, there was an unusually long solar eclipse that could not happen as the result of the moon blocking the sun in an ordinary solar eclipse. Perhaps the same object is responsible.
The passage also mentions a major earthquake. Earthquakes are more common when the moon is closest to earth, such as during a new moon. However, a larger object coming close to the earth could have a similar effect, depending on its size and distance.

It is reassuring these are at least 4 times farther out than the moon. Not reassuring is the fact that this list ends Jan. 11. What does the resto of the month/year have in store? How big was that Russian meteor that injured a thousand people with broken glass when it exploded in mid air? I was in west Virginia (Hardy Co.) last September when a meteor apparently hit. There was a huge explosion seemingly from beyond the nearest big hill. Later reports gave it as being a number of miles away. Glad I wasn’t any closer, I value my eardrums.
By all means read the book Sunken Civ posted. That even happened only about 13,000 years ago, and it probably wiped out the Clovis civilization in North America, as well as most of the large animals. The extinction of the animals has been blamed on humans. This event could have reduced the populations so severely that they all eventually died out, some quickly and some over centuries.
The rest of the year? Surprise!
Maybe Earth will be OK, since that is where Christ’s Kingdom will be established. But it’s possible that current Earth will be harmed, since Revelation says: “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.”
Whatever happens, God is in control.
