There is no evidence currently that COVID-19 vaccines are linked to an increase in sportspeople collapsing or dying due to heart issues such as myocarditis.
Numerous montage videos showing sports stars collapsing or suffering chest pains during matches are circulating on social media (here, here).
One clip shared on Facebook (here) shows several incidents of football players collapsing on the pitch. It also includes news headlines about similar cases from around the world of sport, both professional and amateur.
Another post (here) includes a link to a blog (here) which strongly suggests the incidents are related to COVID-19 vaccines.
Reuters presented the posts to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), the British regulator for drugs and vaccines, which said there is currently no supporting evidence to back up such claims.
MHRA chief executive Dr June Raine said: “The MHRA closely monitors the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines, including reports of suspected heart inflammation, myocarditis or pericarditis.
“Myocarditis or pericarditis remains a very rare potential risk with the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, and the events reported are typically mild with individuals usually recovering within a short time with standard treatment and rest. The current evidence does not suggest that sporting exercise is a contributing risk for these very rare events.
“The public’s safety is our top priority. Our advice remains that the benefits of the vaccine outweigh the risks in the vast majority of people. It is vitally important that people come forward for their vaccination and for their booster doses when invited to do so.

It is not true there is no evidence.
For instance, this story about soccer players:
Now that Facebook has admitted in court that their “Factcheckers” are in fact just flunkies offering opinions, can Reuters be far behind?
This is from the same people who tell us that there was “no evidence” of voter fraud in 2020. What they mean by “no evidence” is that the mainstream media has deemed this a subject that, for reasons unrelated to the truth of the matter, merits no further study, inquiry or research.
Observational evidence can be suggestive although it is not positive proof. The best study would be simply to compare current incidents in the given population for a given time frame with an equal time frame pre-pandemic. Of course the ptb will never do that study, for fear of what it might reveal.

Sudden Cardiac Death in Athletes
Sudden cardiac death is the most common medical cause of death in athletes, with an incidence of around 1 in 40,000 to 1 in 80,000 athletes per year according to the most recent estimates.
Just like there’s no evidence of ‘lab origin’...for which I enjoyed my time in social media jail, ultimately resulting in saying ‘Bye’.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha ...
Big Tech Court Filing Admits ‘Fact Checks’ Are Just A Matter Of ‘Protected’ Opinion
You think that fact-check was a “slam-dunk”? It just cited a couple of opinions. You set the bar pretty low.
For reference about 6,500 people per year die from all forms of heart disease (using ICD-10 I codes) in the US who are under the age of 35 and about 10% of those are infants. At most 200 people in the US under the age of 35 die from myocarditis in any given year. That makes for a death rate is 0.1 per 100,000 in the 25-34 age group. Further the data shows that a young person would be twice as likely to die from an aortic dissection or rupture than myocarditis.
This is probably closer to the truth. “Columbia study: True U.S. COVID vaccine death count is 400,000”. https://www.wnd.com/2021/12/4968311/
Sudden cardiac death in the young is usually a diagnosis of last resort when an autopsy shows no signs of any organic heart disease or pathology. This usually means something like Long QT Syndrome, WPW Syndrome, Brugada Syndrom or CPVT. These conditions can only be diagnosed via examination of the heart rhythm and may require an electrophysiological study. This is not the case with these athletes.
It is difficult to chalk-off the increase in heart ailments and death among young and presumably health athletes to coincidence. How many of these athletes were vaccinated? Also, how do the number of deaths and serious heart issues in the years of Covid compare with the number of deaths and serious injuries among this same athletic population in the pre-Covid years?
they couldn’t find any articles or news stories confirming any ties to the mysterious deaths of sports stars, just after vaccinations...
hmmm.
that does it for me... give me the jab, then.
I’d say that even if her claim is inaccurate she is still NOT GUILTY.
