..... And I'll never know whether or not it's COVID, because I refuse to get tested.
Started getting chills and body aches after attending a Christmas party. Not crazy shivers and fever like the flu, but more mild. Rested all day today, took Tylenol, and feeling much better. Will rest again tomorrow and see if I develop stuffed nose and cough.
The point is, prior to COVID, if a bunch of people who know each other, or work together, were getting sick, they'd say "I think there's something going around". And then they'd get over it and get back on with their lives.
That's exactly what I intend to do, even if the whole world around me has gone completely nuts.
the sulfer smell is a clue...
good. they sell those cheap little finger meters at cvs/walgreens/etc. stick em on your finger and if you’re holding above 95% O2 you’re in good shape. if you’re down below 80% for an extended period of time no matter how you feel, it’s probably time to get doctors (hopefully good ones who will not give you the cdc death protocol) involved.
I see the Spiritual, good vs evil aspect to this also. But I see it more as in God vs Science. The left wants so much to be able to say that Science saved humanity without God’s help.
Get an at home test. It would be nice to know if you have the antibodies.
I grew up in Miami and spent my whole adult life in New York City.
I got tons of colds when I was growing up in sunny FLA, but there’s something about being home sick in the winter up north, with cold weather and bare trees, that makes you feel almost grateful for being able to veg out for a little bit, and have an excuse to not go outside.
Ain’t gonna ruin that experience by freaking out over whether or not I have COVID!
LOL.
My whole household got sick. My wife got tested. No Covid, just a regular non-novel virus. We are all better now.
LOL....if it wasn’t for “the wives”, Fauci & Co. could never keep the fear porn going!
Normally it takes 3-5 dats to develop symptoms. Top secret...between you and me...go to CVS or Walgreens and buy an at home covid test for about $20. Do a test and see if you are positive...I promise I will not tell anyone and you can still be the cool kid among other anti-vaxxers.
Nope. Smell was fine. Color was fine. No clue to the danger within. I should have tried the “does it float” test.
For those who don’t know, fresh eggs do not float in a bowl of water. If an egg rises to the top, it has outgassed something and has started to decay.
I flew on an airplane on Monday—totally masked and separate from people as much as possible. Wednesday I came down with the sniffles. It’s total upper respiratory involvement. Tested. No covid. Negative. Happens every single time I come to Illinois.
So we met as family, masked, ate separated in groups, and didn’t get near each other.
All but the little one vaccinated and boosted. Sigh.
oops should have said “drops below 90%” not 80%. 80% would be ambulance time.
Ok thanks—I’ll buy one from Amazon now as I shouldn’t leave the house for a week. . .
LOL....no “virus reveal party” for me. Not even for a party of one!
I bought one at Walgreen's right after Thanksgiving, they were stacked high on the shelves. Haven't used it, will do it if I start to show symptoms. Had two Moderna shots back in January and February, came down with Covid in August (almost six months to the day after the second shot).
You and me both. I’m positive me and my family have had it, and what good would going to the Dr and confirming it do? Support the lock-down statistics? Help the mask and vax mandate wannabes? Nope. Get over an illness the old fashioned way.
I bought two test kits yesterday at Walgreens. Shelf at pharmacy center was stacked with them. My lovely wife is an RN so the encounter factor is high in our house so we keep a couple at all times. Each kit has two tests.
I don’t think it can be covid that fast from the Christmas party. If it’s covid, you got it about ten days before the party, or maybe less time with omicron.
i’m in norcal right now. you’re probably somewhere else.
Chick fil a has a great chicken soup. So does carabba’s if either are close to you
