..... And I'll never know whether or not it's COVID, because I refuse to get tested.
Started getting chills and body aches after attending a Christmas party. Not crazy shivers and fever like the flu, but more mild. Rested all day today, took Tylenol, and feeling much better. Will rest again tomorrow and see if I develop stuffed nose and cough.
The point is, prior to COVID, if a bunch of people who know each other, or work together, were getting sick, they'd say "I think there's something going around". And then they'd get over it and get back on with their lives.
That's exactly what I intend to do, even if the whole world around me has gone completely nuts.
My son in law’s family all came down with covid just a few days after a funeral. Some were in denial and went to the funeral knowing they were sick, but not knowing it was covid. This morning, one of the people who got infected by the sick ones, was found dead in his home.
At least allow someone to bring you a home test.
We have a box of them here at the house for “just in case”. That way, if your condition worsens like in severe shortness of breath, you can tell medical workers you tested positive at home.
If you’re sick, stay home even if initially it feels like a light cold. Covid is incredibly contagious and others might not fare as well as you. At least rule out covid before you go in public and you can do that simply by keeping a few tests on hand.
Late Wednesday, I developed a spectacular bout of food poisoning. It came on a few hours after eating a specific food. The pathology followed common, and energetic, route of most food poisonings. I’m happy with that diagnosis and am getting better (after eating crackers only and sipping on liquids since).
AND YET, several people have asked, “are you sure it’s not covid? Why don’t you go get tested to be sure?” Sheesh!
I woke up at 2 the other morning yakking my guts out. I was fine after that, but since we’re sharing our recent health issues, I thought I would contribute mine.
didn’t lose sense of smell on this round, my second bout with the ccp virus (unvaxxed). i was looking for that symptom from the first time. this time it didn’t happen. although the rest of the symptoms were the same as the first time. it could be that loss of smell and taste is not a symptom for this variant.
go heavy and hard with whatever you have at home. assume it’s covid and watch for sars with an 02 meter.
Did you eat raw linzertorte dough? That is what caused my bout. Just askin’ cause same diagnosis ...
But, you can't complain 'less it comes out both ends at the same time. And is TECHNICOLOR!
I'm feelin' much better now.
Thanks.
I took an antibody test several months ago because my ex wife and son are totally paranoid. They both got covid and got over it early on. They said if I had antibodies I wouldn’t have to wear a mask around them.
So that would be the only reason for me to get another antibody test.
But I aint sticking those CCP swaps up my nose so that my data can go to the PLA.
was it seafood. that can cause some really bad food poisoning.
first sign take some activated charcoal and you will be amazed at how fast it can stop it. the quicker you take it the less you will have to take.
i ate some bad seafood that kicked in while i was still driving home from a restaurant. puked on the side of the road...in my driveway...gobbled down the pills and the puking stopped. had to take more just to be safe that it would get all the toxins
now if i eat out and i decide to eat seafood I make sure i take activated charcoal right away just to be safe.
Seriously, try a BRAT diet.
Bananas for potassium,
Rice for an absorbing starch,
Applesauce for an easy to digest energy, and
Toast for an absorbing starch.
I didn’t use it, but it is recommended. Also, pedialyte.
yeah, about the pain killers, that might be masking the symptoms you should be tracking. i went heavy on the pain killers my first time and it might have prolonged my first bout with covid19.
i haven’t done anything in pain killers except good old aspirin during this bout. and that’s because it’s an anti-clotting factor and reccomended as such by the protocols.
I just told myself that food poisoning is going through Freeperville. We’ve infected each other!
Thank you for the info.
LOL.... You forgot the first step..... Stand outside in the cold for an hour waiting to get a test!
How do I track O2? My daughter got an Apple Watch for Christmas—can that track O2? So far no cough and no trouble breathing.
Does it work on tape worms? I’ve got them circling around my dogs and cats. I need a prolonged effective treatment... yes I am serious.
No, my dad wanted me to make a linzertorte (a yummy type of cake — sort of) but I didn’t have enough eggs. He had a cartoon with just one egg in it. I didn’t check the date but knowing he has bunches of food stockpiled (which is odd because he is NOT a prepper) it could have been old. I should have checked.
Anyway, I had leftover dough. I super-love it. So, I indulged in the raw dough with a possible bad egg in it. Symptoms developed quickly after that.
Thank you for reminding me about the charcoal. I will go out tomorrow and buy some.
There’s a cold going around. I remember when we used to have those. I first started feeling the effects a week ago and am still not totally over it. No fever, just fatigue, an occasional mild headache and mild congestion. I did get the test a few days ago and it came back negative.
put some serrano peppers in there!!
You can test at home.
Kits are inexpensive and available at many places. My family is a bit hypochondriac. So, testing at home whenever we start to panic saves us much money and time not having to go in to a doc-in-the-box.
Yes, it does.
