A video has surfaced online showing a man being arrested by police after he refused to show a Covid vaccine passport to buy food.

The man, who was taking part in an anti-vaccine mandate protest, was arrested as he tried to buy food at a branch of Panera Bread located in Brooklyn, New York.
According to reports, the man shown in the video is an army veteran, and expressed concern that as police were arresting him, they allowed the US flag that he held to touch the ground.
The veteran can be heard shouting: “
“The flag does not touch the ground!
“The Constitution of the United States is being violated – I cannot eat!” he adds.
During the video, the man repeatedly told police that he is non-violent and has no weapons, all of which took place as he was escorted out of the establishment.
Additionally, other customers who already paid for food were ordered to exit the store despite many of them claiming not to be involved with the protest.
The person who uploaded the video on Twitter revealed that the same man had reportedly been arrested twice in the previous week for failing to show a valid vaccine passport when trying to order food.
New York has some of the toughest covid-19 restrictions, including a vaccine mandate that requires all employees and citizens to be vaccinated or face being shunned out of society. A covid vaccine passport was introduced to provide proof of vaccination, which is required for entry to venues such as cafes, bars, restaurants, gyms, cinemas, theatres, and other public spaces.
Additionally, despite the vaccine mandate, face masks are also mandatory and must be worn in all indoor public places.
I’m one of them.
Good for him. May he be the father of a thousand imitators.
Give em lead first.
We’re not that far away. They’re trying this sh-t and we’re letting them.
Why are there not 10,000 New Yorkers rejecting this tyranny?
it always amazes me when a prior military throws away his security clearance and good job prospects for some petty idiocy not once, when he could claim gullibility, but 3 times in one week, demonstrating he’s a very slow learner. Maybe he’s counting on gofundme clicks for a living.
Present your paper immunization card or show proof of vaccination through the state’s Excelsior Pass app or the city’s NYC COVID SAFE app.
The state app uses personal information to check against state vaccination records, and a variation of the vaccine pass the app offers, called the “Pass Plus,” may allow businesses “to save or store the information contained,” according to a state FAQ about the app.
Incident #30,675 of why people need to elect a pro-2nd amendment, constitutional sheriff in their counties. This sheriff has the legal and armed muscle to take care of fat gestapo cops harassing citizens.
“Present your paper”
Where have I heard that before?
“That’s surprising because around here (in deep South), the black folks I know refuse the vaccine. They would rather wear masks everywhere they go including at sporting events. I see it all the time. They refuse to be injected. I know A LOT of black people. They do not like Biden. They like President Trump.”
I think you may have replied to the wrong person. Just for general information, though, I am also in the deep south, in fact as far south as you can get in the true south. I don’t know any black people even though I’m around a million of them, so I can’t speak to their vax preference, but I see a lot more of them wearing masks than white people.

That means you’ll never pick any battles. Thanks for letting us know.
Might, might not.
Sure wouldn't be telling you about it either way.
Thanks for letting us know.

Did you get a new gerbil?
Thanks - I wouldn’t want to know. If your boyfriend would like the gerbil, give me an address and I’d be happy to ship it.
Because they say it is.
First off it’s HIPAA not hippa and it’s not the warm security blanket or magic talisman you think it is. There is a very specific set of entities that law applies too and none of them are restaurants or your employer most likely unless you work for a covered entity. Here is the law from the legal agency tasked with enforcing it.

Who must comply with HIPAA privacy standards?
Answer:
As required by Congress in HIPAA, the Privacy Rule covers:
Health plans
Health care clearinghouses
Health care providers who conduct certain financial and administrative transactions electronically. These electronic transactions are those for which standards have been adopted by the Secretary under HIPAA, such as electronic billing and fund transfers.
These entities (collectively called “covered entities”) are bound by the privacy standards even if they contract with others (called “business associates”) to perform some of their essential functions. The law does not give the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) the authority to regulate other types of private businesses or public agencies through this regulation. For example, HHS does not have the authority to regulate employers, life insurance companies, or public agencies that deliver social security or welfare benefits. See our business associate section and the frequently asked questions about business associates for a more detailed discussion of the covered entities’ responsibilities when they engage others to perform essential functions or services for them.
