The US Army is currently testing a universal vaccine it hopes will target all coronavirus variants: Pre-Clinical results are promising and human results are coming soon

The US Army is wrapping up early clinical trials on a universal vaccine it hopes will target all existing coronavirus variants.

Named SpFN, for Spike Ferritin Nanoparticle, it has shown promise in non-human primate trials and early human trial results are expected "this month," according to a press release from the US Army Walter Reed Army Institute of Research released Thursday.

The jab could also help protect against other coronaviruses beyond COVID-19, which offers hope against future pandemics.

A new design

The vaccine is designed on a new platform called "self-assembling protein nanoparticle."

Unlike most currently available vaccines, which use mRNA to trigger the immune system, this shot would work by injecting a molecule that looks a little like a 24-faced soccer ball, according to Defense One.

Each face of the "ball" would carry a bit of spike protein that can trigger the body to mount a protective immune response.

This allows scientists to attach the spikes of multiple coronavirus strains on different faces of the "ball," so the body could protect against several variants at once, instead of having to take a separate dose for each variant.

Pre-clinical results are promising and human results are coming soon, says the Army

Early results in primates suggest the shot could work against COVID-19 variants and against other coronaviruses as well, the Army said.

According to a study published in the peer-reviewed journal Science Translational Medicine on Thursday, SpFN protected non-human primates from disease caused by the original variant of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Two doses given 28 days apart also triggered strong immune responses against Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta variants.

Results from very early clinical trials of SpFN in humans, called Phase 1, are expected to be released "this month," the Army said in the press release.

It looks like, this does NOT use the much feared mRNA technology that causes our cell machinery to produce untold amounts of spike protein for undetermined amounts of time.

It’s amazing that the US Army created this vaccine and we have not heard anything about it until yesterday! Interesting that the FDA and the NIH and Dr. Fauci never uttered a word about our US Army scientists who created a vaccine that may work on all variants. Furthermore it does so without generating spike proteins.

Any fetal cells used during the research or creation of this vaccine?

From the US Army? It’ll probably make you want to chop off your penis and put on a pair of red heels. No way I’m shooting their hot dog water into my arm.

Maybe they should work on a vaccine that restores trust in failed institutions that betrayed their trust.

A vaccine developed by the US Army?

The same US Army that permanently disabled thousands of vets with their Anthrax vaccines?

No Thanks.

Well here’s some good news.

We seem to be playing fast and loose these days with medicine.

The spike protein is cytotoxic. It damages the heart and brain by causing capillary clots. Another way of delivering that spike isn’t an improvement.

RE: The spike protein is cytotoxic.

Well, if one gets Covid, one also gets the spike protein. So, either way, you get the spike protein.

Or maybe there’s a better way to target the virus without targeting the spike protein (maybe other aspects of the virus ) .... I don’t know.

Ever try one of those wrenches that they advertise to work on every kind of bolt and nut? They suck.
This is just a transparent attempt for them to have the new wonderful shot to replace the ones they will soon have to step away from.

Holy shamoly... After posting, I started reading the article and “self-assembling nanoparticles”?

I wonder what happens if they assemble wrong. I’ve seen privates assemble things wrong before.

RE: My guess is Ft. Detrick, not Walter Reed.

So, why not say Ft. Detrick? Is the name of that place so toxic now? If so, just shut it down.

This must be the ‘vaccine’ that Jim Cramer suggested be forcibly administered by the US military. Hopefully it is different from the one that Cramer received, which did not prevent him from getting the wuhan flu.

Interesting they forced the active military to take the other ones, knowing this one was in the pipeline.

Here’s hoping they don’t get to take a scientific, ordered, controlled program of the 5 phased FDA approval process and cut it down to the Pfizer/J&J process of ‘months.’

Yeah. Anything designed at USAMRIID is going to have to overcome some stigma.
