Mods you can pull, I know this issue has been discussed ad nauseum.
No, but if they do they’ll regret it.
I’m also in Texas.
NOT wearing a mask is the norm here. Nobody cares if you don’t wear a face diaper.
I’m in southern California. No one has confronted me about not wearing a mask. I suppose it’s coming, though. We’ll see.
I’m in southern Indiana. Over 90% here don’t wear a mask.
No. I realized yesterday that I had not been off the farm for four weeks though.
I finally went yesterday and again this morning for my sin of having forgotten something yesterday. Neither trip to town inspired me to go again anytime soon.
No one is telling me to put on a mask. But watching the actions of those wearing masks in stores around me is quite humorous. They see you coming down an aisle, and they are trying very hard to hug a side of the aisle to make room. Heck, they weren’t socially distancing that hard back in March 2020. COVID paranoia has truly set in, and the DEMs bank on that.
Don’t go out much but we have had contractors work on house. They often have masks on until we mention that its fine not to wear them at our house. So far in every case they have happily taken them off.
I’m in Maryland, outside of DC, and I wear a mask if a business requires it. But I occasionally see people in stores without masks, and I haven’t seen anybody bother them.
I suspect they are still nutty in downtown Atlanta.
In north Mississippi & you wear one or don’t.....no one gets hassled. That’s the way it should be.
No. Florida.
Wore the mask for a brief period in the spring of 2020. Haven’t done so since. We live on the Gulf Coast.
In a town east of Portland Oregon I’ve started NOT wearing mask in grocery stores...small biz I feel sorry for I will mask up..but have mask under my nose...even as signs say “mask over nose and mouth” required.
Yes. Yesterday in CA, at BevMo I forgot. Employee noticed in the first minute or two.
I don’t mind the mask wearing inside facilities with lotta people and especially winter season. Outdoors no freaking way. I see people walking in the park with masks on. Really?
Nope. Mostly it is just older folks wearing them. When we go to Walmart, we wear them simply because you have so many people stacked together in there and we do it for the real flu more than anything else. We use those wipe cloths on the buggies and our hands the second we are out of the store. But mostly it is older folks wearing them, and of course the brain washed/dead college students here in town.
I live in Florida
I live in Western MA. Few communities still have mask requirements. They are required for live performances (community theatre and what-not.). It’s not a big deal.
20 miles to the south in CT, I went to a mall the other day and everyone was masked up. I felt like I was on another planet.
When we have various tradespeople come into the house to do work...all are wearing a mask. I tell them upfront, they don’t have to wear the mask in our house. Most come out of them....some do not.
I’ve got a doctor’s visit this afternoon. They’ve already emailed and said I must wear a mask. I won’t be wearing one when I arrive, but will put one on if they supply me with one.
The last time I was confronted about not wearing a mask was in my local Ace Hardware store. A worker attempted to lay hands on me to physically force me out of the building. I politely informed her that if she valued her hands remaining attached to her arms that she would let go. Of course, it goes without saying that I’ll never return there.
