A couple of days ago I got an e-mail telling me another device was using my account ....
(I know everyone will jump on me for using NETFLIX ... whatever)
I went on line and using their chat feature, I attempted to find out what went wrong.
The chatter on the other end asked questions that should have already been data based and I got suspicious and ended the chat.
This morning, I went to finish a binge series and my account was turned off.
I just got off the phone with a NEFLIX rep and he wanted me to go "on a secure telephone (btw, I use LL) line" and I would RE-input my debit card (in use for those 8+ years) and hit pound and I would be shunted back to him.
It all sounds hinkey and has anyone else experienced this ?
NEVER respond to an email. Don’t click their link.
Go directly to the website by inputting it manually.
Log in there only and change your password or chat there.
Remember that the Obama Crime Syndicate is deeply involved with NETFLIX.
That may be a clue toward any perceived “hinkeyness” with that Pedophile embracing streaming service.
We’ve had no problem with Netflix. The first time we watch on a different TV we do get the message about another device, but only then.
(When they hired the Obamas, we cancelled them. But our T-Mobile account gives us Netflix free so we take advantage of it.)
It’s been a long time since I used Netflix but you still should be able to access your information through your online account; no need to do do this by phone. So, yeah, hinky.
The email is phony. 99% chance.
Netflix will send out an email if they think someone's account has been compromised (or if they think a subscriber is sharing their log-in info with other users, from different time zones and/or different IP addresses).
Shutting the account off is one way they'll stop this.
As long as the user can verify that they are actually talking to Netflix (and not a scammer) they should be safe in giving out their payment info.
I received an email stating there was a new sign-in to my account
Go to your netflix account directly, change the pw, logout all devices, verify account info.
This morning I used the LL telephone and got the same suspicious questions.
I REALLY want to finish the binge serial I am watching ... or WAS watching.
Netflix has different plans. Make sure no one else is watching when you are.

The issue is *how you got to the netflix site.
If you followed a link in the email, it could have been a fake site.
If you can get into the real site directly, change your password.
First thing you should have done is change your password. Never use links or phkne numbers provided in email no matter how professional they may appear.
Always go to the official website through another means
Netflix has tiered family plans allowing multiple people to watch at once from different devices. Pretty sure they've got to be using the same IP address.
Our Netflix account was stolen twice. We so seldom use it, we didn’t notice for almost a year in one case. We called Netflix the second time and was told that the account was now being used in India. Since it was the second time this happened, Netflix advised us to set up a new email account to register under. This worked and the account has been secure for the last several years. Looking back, my wife and I joke that there was probably a TV set up on a windowsill in some rural part of India, and the whole village was sitting around enjoying our Netflix on our dime.

Put your cursor over the link in the email and you may be able to see the real address at the bottom left corner of your browser. But, no, don’t ever click on the link.
Yes. I get Netflix thru my T-Mobile account and it’s happened to me.
