Candace Owens is back again in headlines for her unwarranted two cents and this time, Alec Baldwin is the culprit.The conservative pundit let off a few poorly timed and inconsiderate tweets regarding the incident calling Baldwin’s deadly mistake “poetic justice” for his previous criticism of Donald Trump.

Screw Alec Baldwin. I hope he feels guilt and it consumes him until the moment he meets his maker. And then he will REALLY be squirming.
I thought it would be great to take the family to a paintball park. I had a hard time at first aiming my gun at another human being. Habit does funny things to people. When you’ve spent your life aiming at only those things you intend to kill. Needless to say, I was covered in hits when we were done.
I doubt he sees prison but that doesn’t mean he isn’t finished forever…and this is what will finish him: Wrongful Death Lawsuit.
I personally don't see an issue, since they routinely label conservatives as murderers. I have come to the conclusion that there are three types of people who would label someone a murderer for ideological or personal reasons:
Alec Baldwin would be in the third category on any given day.
Yes, I’ve heard that also. His own production company was the company responsible for everything on set.
Which means that, even if someone wants to say, somebody else messed up, handed him the wrong gun, or there were problems in handling things on set, that all comes back to him as the CEO of the company running things there.
Even if there is no legal criminal liability ever given to him for his actions, his company is on the hook. And as the CEO of his own production company, he can’t blame anyone else for issues such as workplace rules, workplace procedures, or issues of who hired someone who was incompetent. All fingers will point back to Alec Baldwin personally.
He’s in a heap of trouble, that’s for sure.

Knowing just enough about filmmaking to be dangerous (me, or Alec?) I know that it takes a lot of work. 100s if not 1000s of shots in every movie. They have to set up every shot. They have wide shots with many actors. They have close-up shots of one actor. And the editor puts them all together to make the film to build suspense and action for the audience.
From the photos that the PR people put out, Alec appears to be wearing street clothes. So I don’t think they were doing filming at the time. They were probably just setting up the camera angles and lighting for some shot of Alec pointing a weapon, and Alec was there preparing for the scene so they could get the lighting and camera angle set up for later when he came in fully costumed later. Just my guess. Thus, the cinematographer (the person who operates the camera and controls the lighting) would have been right in the line of fire if they were setting up for a solo shot of the principle actor pointing a weapon.
Still Alec cannot evade complete culpability imo. He had the weapon in his hand. Misfire or not, whether someone else put a live round in his gun or not, he caused the death of someone else. He should have checked the weapon at a minimum. I understand that in movies they do have to point the weapon at other people (which in the real world is a big no-no unless you intend to kill). That’s the responsibility of anybody holding a weapon.
I don’t much care in his case, either. It would be nice if this crushed him and he never showed his face in public again. I know, it won’t happen. But that would be a happy side effect.

I would say that at the very least, involuntary manslaughter is on the table.

I doubt he will even be charged.
Or he will cut a deal for a misdemeanor charge where he has to do community service which will be supporting some sort of leftist group.
In some universes, failing to personally check that a lethal “weapon of war” is actually unloaded, then pointing it at a human being and pulling the trigger, could very well be cause for a charge of negligent homicide. Add to this his pattern and practice of recklessly and wantonly causing physical harm to individuals. But in our universe, one can justifiably expect our DOJ to interject itself and give him a pass, given his devotion to DOJ politics.
