I haven't posted for several years after my comments were unceremonially erased by moderators. I am a conservative who voted for Trump and hope to vote for Pompeo. So my pedigree is established. I'm afraid that FreeRepublic is becoming a nucleus for some very bad information about covid. I've had several uvaccinated friends die in their 40's from covid. This dangerous possible bioweapon is very dangerous. I am vaccinated and am glad I am. My 101 year old mother in law survived a bout with covid because of her vaccinations. The vaccine is a rough one. I had 2-3 days of side effects leaving some scars on my shoulder. The MRNA vaccines. The vaccine (more like a prophylactic therapeutic ) does not protect you from the disease. It only mitigates symptoms. I'm saying all this to urge conservatives that are in risk categories to get vaccinated. We have already lost at least 2 talk show hosts and Herman Cain to this insidious Wuhan flu. So go ahead and flame me and join the suffering ones from Idaho.

I’m hoping that some new vaccine, maybe Novavax, will be conspicuously safer than the Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J vaccines.

One of a few areas who are having very good results with Ivermectin.

The vax seems to help somewhat but the original clinical trials are not even finished yet. Pfizer’s completion date is May 2023. That’s why some of us are against the vax. Other vaccines, aside from actually providing complete immunity for the most part, went through years of clinical trials and were not brand new technology.

That and some of us simply don’t trust today’s government(s). Especially after the past 5 years or so. Can ya really blame us?

I think at this point, everyone has their mind made up as to whether or not they want the vaccine and I’m pretty sure everyone here is quite the grown up if not grown old to some degree.

Then there’s another aspect. When I was way younger, I was a crazy party animal while working in a dangerous trade. When I think back, I should have been dead many times over but God didn’t think it was my time yet. When it’s my time, it’s my time. Meanwhile I don’t take risks. I have “unapproved” therapeutics sitting here and I’m comfortable with that. I’m thin, I’m active and I’m outdoors quite a bit. I also haven’t had a cold or flu in 5-6 years even though my wife works at a nursing home. We used to get cold/flu a lot and then it stopped. 4-5 of the wife’s co-workers have had covid and said it was like the flu only worse.

We’re all adults and can make our own decisions. Or if someone under 18 is lurking, they have parents. If you don’t like certain subjects, avoid them.

Why do people have to inform others that “this may be my last post”? Do you want sympathy and people to beg you to stay? Say what you want and leave. It’s really that simple.

I have retired early because I do not want to “take the jab”. My family members are ~ 50/50% vaxxed/un-vaxxed

I have what I feel are valid reasons for my decision— I believe I had COVID in Feb 2020 and thus have natural antibodies — about a year ago, I did not have any symptoms after very close, prolonged contact with someone who tested positive less than 2 days later — I had a serious heart murmur for years and I am very worried about possible heart-related side-effects.

But the main reason is that I simply do not trust those in power, esp. Fauci, Biden et.al., the CDC and the media. They are pushing this WAY too hard, while at the same time demonizing and blocking alternative medical choices!

If you don’t want to get covid, don’t get tested. It’s that simple. Treat any respiratory illness that you might come down with the way you always have in the past and chances are you’ll be fine. People are running to the doctors nowadays every time they get the sniffles. Of course they will test you and tell you you have covid if you go in enough times. Use your head. I know some people who go get tested at least every 2 weeks for this crap, even if they wake up with a headache. Don’t buy into the fear. By the way, what happened to the flu?

I'm an unvaccinated 74 year old woman. My health isn't perfect, but I've managed to outlive everyone else in my family. They've all been gone since 2015. I was the baby. I won't be getting the jab. I don't know anyone who has had Covid, or died from it. Besides doctor appointments, and medical, and dental procedures, I go to the grocery store, etc., once or twice a week. I've visited both my sons who are vaccinated over these past 18+ months. Neither lives near me. When I visit my youngest son in Indiana, I stop half-way and stay in a hotel, out and back. I also eat out at restaurants, and being 74, I hit just about every rest stop on the way out, and on the way back. Haven't caught anything. To be honest, I was more concerned about the possibility of getting Covid from one of my vaccinated kids, than I was of getting it living my life here.

The Lord knows when I'll be taking my last breath. I won't be helping him with that by getting an unknown substance injected into my body. I trust myself, and the Lord far more than I'd ever trust the science.

Some here have zinged you for being thin-skinned and overly sensitive. I have a story that might draw the same reaction. I an unvaxxed, and until a week ago I was an almost daily visitor at my local bar just north of Seattle. Despite its location, the morning crowd at the bar leans conservative, consisting mainly of retirees and self-employed blue-collar workers.

In about a month, our county is facing a vaccine mandate for patrons of bars, restaurants, and certain other indoor facilities. Covid is obviously one of the hot topics in the bar, and in recent weeks I've heard a lot of criticism of the unvaxxed. (I'd say about 80% of the customers are vaxxed.) The holdouts include some conservatives and what I'd call moderates and independents and apolitical people, and maybe one or two liberals.

But last week I decided to stay away before I was forced to stay away by the law. I didn't want to be there if some people resented or feared my presence. And I don't want to be accused of getting someone else sick. By the way, none of the criticism of the unvaxxed was ever specifically directed at me, even though I made no secret of my status. Some may call me a coward, but that was my decision. I also realized that I was probably spending too much time there anyway, so staying away for a while might benefit me even though I'll miss some of the crazy characters there.

As a RN looking at the evidence. I will not take a chance of getting poisoned by the spike protein nor will I let my wife or kids get this unsafe what ever it is. This thing is not a vaccine. A vaccine protects you from contracting some micro invader. This does not stop you from getting the virus or spreading the virus. There is no prof the it reduces the symptoms. That is what people that have gotten this "thing" to make themselves feel better. Yes people in their 40's die from this and most of them are over weight, have diabetes, COPD, low vitamin D,or some other co-morbidity's.

Very few people have talked about personal health. The out right cover up and censoring of real information about life saving drugs like Ivermectin has been a crime against humanity.

Misinformation: When someone say that's misinformation and that's all they say and dismiss it as some crazy idea. What they are saying is you are to stupid to read and understand for yourself or the information wrecks their position so bad they do not want you to see it. I have had enough of the LIES and the sky is falling crap. It's time to grow an American set and get on with life.

Sorry for the loss of your friends.

Today we were at the funeral of my husband's best friend, Ted Humphrey. Ted was not vaccinated, but his wife was. She recovered; Ted developed Covid-pneumonia and blood clots in his lungs. He died Monday. Ted had no comorbidities, was a healthy, active 71 year old.

On September 11th, my brother and sister-in-law tested positive for Covid. My sister-in-law has fully recovered, but my brother was admitted to the hospital last Saturday with Covid-pneumonia and blood clots in his lungs. He is 58 years old, has no comorbidities, goes to the gym several times per week, and maintains a healthy weight. They were taking all the vitamins, zinc, melatonin, and etc. Two days ago the doctor sent him to the ICU where he was placed on a ventilator. He has issues with air leaking out of his chest cavity, neck, and face.

The day before he was taken to ICU he texted the following to me: "I will NEVER tell someone NOT to get vaccine after this. Nobody should face this."

I believe that no one has the right to force the vax on anyone and I believe that it is potentially reckless to talk someone out of getting the vax.

BTW: If you believe in prayer, please say a prayer for my brother's recovery. Thank you.

Well I was not posting to you, Jamestown. But thanks for pointing that out—and in such a “polite” way.

It was not clear to me whether supporting mandates or not supporting...Who is “them?” IMHO could read either way...The initial post was about being pro vaccines...They can leave, tho I think they are misinformed.*

If supporting vaccines/mandates, then I wanted to make clear my concerns.

Regardless, bigger picture is last part of my post and is the most important...The virus and the vaccines are not about health...And many miss that. I missed that when this all started. The virus brought about “emergency powers”(going on for how many months/years?) and vaccines which have brought about mandates, which are now facilitating passports and more control.

Williams, if I misread your comments, my apologies...

*Tho I may not “read well,” I have family members with advanced degrees in healthcare and pharma data analysis that are concerned about the way the vaccine clinical trials and process played out. Look at the big picture.

We do supplementation, and we did do a round of Ivermectin. Just getting a prescription filled for that stuff is its own adventure.

Same here. I learned a long time ago to question everything. My first concern was that the nasal swab tests weren't accurate, and I said last year that I wouldn't take the shot because the tests themselves didn't work properly, since they couldn't detect the difference between Covid, and the flu. And I fully believe that the CDC knew this from the beginning, but chose to go with the PCR swab tests despite that...and they're still using them. They won't stop using them until December 31st. Now my response is, why would I take a vaccine recommended by the same people who used a test they knew didn't work, to detect a disease they knew it couldn't accurately detect? Those folks are nuts, and should all lose their licenses for malpractice.
