Probably my last post

Posted on 09/26/2021 5:15:04 PM PDT by 2nd Amendment

I haven't posted for several years after my comments were unceremonially erased by moderators. I am a conservative who voted for Trump and hope to vote for Pompeo. So my pedigree is established. I'm afraid that FreeRepublic is becoming a nucleus for some very bad information about covid. I've had several uvaccinated friends die in their 40's from covid. This dangerous possible bioweapon is very dangerous. I am vaccinated and am glad I am. My 101 year old mother in law survived a bout with covid because of her vaccinations. The vaccine is a rough one. I had 2-3 days of side effects leaving some scars on my shoulder. The MRNA vaccines. The vaccine (more like a prophylactic therapeutic ) does not protect you from the disease. It only mitigates symptoms. I'm saying all this to urge conservatives that are in risk categories to get vaccinated. We have already lost at least 2 talk show hosts and Herman Cain to this insidious Wuhan flu. So go ahead and flame me and join the suffering ones from Idaho.

I’m an unvaccinated person in my 40’s. Of course I’m in perfect health. I don’t plan on getting vaccinated unless I’m forced to, and I won’t live the rest of my life in fear, like I see with so many people still wearing masks. I wish you well, and God speed. Though I hope you stick around.

I agree with this statement from you....

The vaccine (more like a prophylactic therapeutic ) does not protect you from the disease.

Consider other alternatives.

The problem is that we cannot trust our government, the medical profession, and beyond all, our politicians of both parties.

Are you right about vaccines? Who knows, certainly not you and certainly not me; and without a doubt, not the Media, Tony Fauci and Joe Biden.

We cannot believe anything said by the establishment and their corrupt leaders and so we turn to other sources which may or may not be any better. Quite a dilemma isn’t it? As for you, sign up with Mitt Romney, Lindsey Graham, Susan Collins, and Senator Mitch McConnell. Good luck to you.

Well it is true if you disagree with the majority here on issues they believe is a settled matter then it’s difficult to present other opinions and too often go against the poster rather than debate as once was the case on FR. And oh were those debates lively indeed.......but they were debated.

Now far too many one liners misled with snotty responses.

I don’t have any comorbidity, unless you count being a senior citizen.

But I don’t think it’s sensible to dismiss all comorbidity deaths. It’s not like all the fat people or diabetics were just going to drop dead anyway. Their deaths still are significant.

I don’t understand your opus. Your perspective is your perspective. If others squabble, screw ‘em.

I too know several younger than me (62) who have died. I agree it is a bio weapon. I and my wife caught it last January. It was just a bad cough for her. Lasted about 10 days and she is older than me. For me it was a lot worse. It attacked my heart….. specifically my ability to maintain blood pressure. It would skyrocket for no reason. Two trips to ER in 5 days. It never impacted my lungs in anyway, but I still have diminished sense of smell. But we both survived and both have covid natural antibodies.

If we did not have natural immunity it would be a tough decision. As it is, there is no way we would risk taking the vaccine.

I have no issue with your choice about protecting your health.

Don’t have any knowledge about the past you speak of. It’s OK.

I’ve had my own experience with Covid and family members.

God Bless you and your family. God Bless the U.S.A.

I think you think you're conservative but I'm not sure you really are.

No, I do not believe in big government mandated vaccines for everyone. I do believe that the best vaccine is a recovery from covid. I do believe the Vaers reports show disturbing trends on vaccinated younger people. I’ve read everything about the ‘rona that I can find and especially want conservative senior citizens to protect themselves from this disease.

> No flaming - just sadness that you don’t believe in debate. <

Unfortunately, there is little debate here on this topic. Someone posts something pro-vaxx, and he’s called all sorts of names. Someone posts something anti-vaxx, and he’s called all sorts of names.

I understand that this is a very emotional issue. And a healthy skepticism is always good (be skeptical of both pro- and anti-vaccine articles). But I wish more folks would focus less on personal insults, and more on honestly debating the topic.

I hope you don’t stop posting. Information about the virus is out there. Information about the vaccines is out there. Adults need to digest the available information and make up their own minds. I got vaccinated, my family members are vaccinated. I don’t really worry about what anyone else chooses to do - being vaccinated means I don’t need to worry. It’s their decision.

You’re leaving because you don’t like comments on Covid, or agree with info that you don’t agree with? Looks like you are a sheep after all. Baaa-Bye.

Regardless of vaccines or not. Something that all people should do is workout, lose weight, and don’t smoke. .Gov is pushing vaccines, fine, but part of the problem with any virus is that it will attack the unhealthy. America is full of unhealthy people. There will be no heard immunity, covid will continue picking off the weakest in the heard. Don’t be weak.

The vax wars are indeed ugly. Doesn’t mean you have to leave FR. This too shall pass.

Who and when you may get wuhan is interesting. Last December wifey and eldest caught it. None of the rest of us did. Made it through the rest of school with no problems. This year, just three weeks ago I caught it. Felt like a bad cold/mild flu. Thanks to God that was all. No one else in the house caught it. It’s a weird bug for sure.
