WASHINGTON - President Biden acknowledged on Thursday evening that he and many other vaccinated Americans were “frustrated” with the 80 million Americans who have declined immunization against the coronavirus. The needless ravages caused by the Delta variant, he said, were “frustrating” to watch, repeating a word that seemed to signal the evening’s theme.
And he blamed governors playing “pandemic politics” by resisting mask mandates and downplaying the power of vaccines for prolonging the pandemic.
“We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin,” Biden said in a speech from the White House, making clear that he blamed the unvaccinated for the current surge in the U.S. “And your refusal has cost all of us.”
The spring was marked by vaccine incentives, including guns and beer. The summer saw the rise of mandates, including from the president and some governors. Now it is fall, and a level of exasperation has set in. Only 53.4 percent of Americans are vaccinated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, giving the coronavirus plenty of opportunities to spread.
The president did virtually nothing to disguise his dismay on Thursday, his own mood mirroring that of many Americans. Schools are closed once again, and the economic recovery is faltering, too. At one point during his remarks, Biden leaned against his podium in the State Dining Room of the White House and, in his trademark stage whisper, addressed the unvaccinated directly: “What more do you need to see?” he asked, apparently referencing the rampant misinformation about the safety and efficacy of vaccines that has potentially led millions to refuse inoculations.
**SNIP**
He returned time and again to blame the unvaccinated for the nation’s current predicament, arguing that the holdouts “can cause a lot of damage - and they are.”

He’s using the royal “our,” isn’t he?
Great flick.
Look at the data of GA breakthrough cases vs. hospitalizations vs. deaths compared to unvaxxed:
Vaccinated:
Cases - 40175
Hospitalizations of those cases - 1414 (3.52%)
Deaths - 277 (.6%)
Unvaccinated and under vaccinated
Cases - 702,951
Hospitalized- 29,655 (4.22%)
Deaths - 7558 (1%)
Important note on case numbers: The case numbers are from January until now, so they heavily skew “unvaxxed” because roll out didn’t really start until April, and didn’t reach 50% until summer. Also, “unvaxxed” includes partial vaxxed and vaxxed < 14 days

I wonder how many of the Federal workers voted for him plus many of them are black.
This will go over well.
What a way to inspire confidence.
Scolding people and talking down to them is a sure fire way to get people not to want to simply defy you...
This guy is messed up and needs to be removed from office - Harris and the rest of this administration as well.
Yet the MILLIONS of illegals pouring into our country don’t need to be vaccinated isn’t that nice..and neither do USPS workers or Afghans
Yahoo saying lashes out ???
Not something fluffy like begs, urges, warns, cries over, despairs over, anxious about, etc
Too bad that the jab is ineffective against the latest bioweapon release. But that doesn’t really matter does it?
Re my post above... the “pandemic of the unvaxxed” is a lie.
In GA, you are only .4% less likely to die and .7% less likely to be hospitalized, if we can even trust the tests and data. And this is all not even taking into account the adverse effects of the shot itself!
What doesn't make sense is that if this is approved don't the other EUAs have to go bye-bye like Moderna and JnJ and why didn't the FDA just approve the EUA and Comirnaty?
Also, it specifically says "for the prevention of COVID-19 disease in individuals 16 years of age and older." not to reduce the effects of COVID-19 or reduce symptoms. The prevention part has failed miserably.
Theres hope for the naturally immuned yet...
If you want respect be respectable...
My first thought also.
:)
If the vaccine is so effective, why do the vaccinated need to be protected from the unvaccinated.
