And of course, this vending machine selling panties is going to be on the list. It is a common misconception that the underwear vending machines in Tokyo sell used underwear – but this isn’t true. I did business in Japan for over 25 years. One of the more curious things about Japan is the fixation on women’s white bloomers by men. It used to be that there were even kiosk machines in some of the bar districts where you could buy female tidy whities.

Tetsuo Urata is a 56 year old man from the city of Beppu, Japan in Oita Prefecture. Urata has been accused by police there of stealing 730 pairs of women’s bras and panties from laundromats.

Police in the nearby city of Oita arrested 40-year-old Toru Adachi in 2019 for stealing 1,100 pairs of underwear, according to the Tokyo Reporter ( Newspaper.) Obviously there is someting wrong with the drinking water in those parts.

Back when I first got divorced and had to use a laundrymat I’d got to one that had a bar attached so I could have a cold one or two and break up the monotony of watching the dryers spin around.
One night a super hot chick came in to retrieve her clothes from a dryer and made a point of holding up and inspecting every piece of skimpy underwear and bras before folding them up. At that point in my life I had no clue that dental floss was considered underwear material.
