Phil the Alaskan Malamute protesting getting a bath by his humans.
Video, 4 minutes & 3 seconds
our malamutes loved water...ocean, lakes, rivers, ponds, you name it
they loved water
except when it came to bath time, ha ha
the thing to do is shove them through the car wash
Hahah. Love it.
That cracked me up.
Phil determinedly stares at the wall, which he thinks renders him invisible.
Oh ya!
If they get a choice between a nasty scummy filthy pond of water and a nice clear clean running stream..guess which they will jump into first.
Giving them a bath is like committing murder to them.
But a better friend n a dog you’ll never find.
A cats a pet, a dogs a companion.
His name is PHIL?? LOL
Dog is loving the attention. What a sweetheart.
I grew up on western PA. When I was a kid a lot of bodies of water were tinged yellow-orange from sulfur run-off from the coal mines. I had a dog that loved to swim in settling ponds or small creeks. He often has the smell of faint sulfur, but it did seem to keep them fleas and ticks off of him.
Back in 1975, when I was in the infantry at Fort Hood, we used to take black dress socks filled with sulfur powder with us on our field exercises. We would use them to dust down the tops of our boots and the bottom of our fatigue pants to keep fleas, ticks, and chiggers from biting our legs and ankles. I remember that it worked rather well, although it didn't do much for the chiggers and ticks that got into our armpits and around our beltlines ...
“Resistance is futile”. LOL
Yup, anything that stinks is great to them.
Oh and bear shit? Or deer guts after hunting season? That is a treasure to them. Come running back grinning ear to ear thinking they smell just like the limit.
I had one of mine that used to get into that stuff when we went out partridge hunting. She’d get in one door and I went out the other of the pickup. So in the back she would go and that was also great-at least she thought it was.
As mad I would get at them stupid mutts, it never last long. At least just until after the garden hose would come out and I got even. Then all was right with the world again.
Next weekend..it all repeated.
And the cat in the sink quietly laughing at Phil before taking his treats..........
Gorgeous hound!!!!
“Philly bear”… too cute. Thanks DJ!
Winner: Cat.
That’s a sweet dog. He doesn’t get aggressive, he just protests nonviolently.
(It might help if they had a walk-in shower...)
