Hey I am wondering does anyone know of a good email client that will download and retain my messages from Xfinity? Thanks in advance!
Thunderbird should work: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/setting-up-thunderbird
Dittos to Thunderbird. It is the ONLY mail client I use.
You can get the program from Thunderbird.net. It is a Mozilla project, the same group that does Firefox.
Well third now that Coad Toad beat me to it.
The others said it. Thunderbird
Thunderbird is great. Just make sure that you use POP3 instead of IMAP as your protocol. POP3 downloads your email to your device, whereas IMAP retains it on the server. There are advantages to each.
Thunderbird, which several other on this thread have recommended, is solid and reliable. I have been using Tbird literally for years and never had a single problem with it.
Couple of links to check:

Just checked. Been using Tbird since December 2004 when it was first released.
Ok! Thunderbird it is. Thing is, nobody told me about going into Xfinity email and ALLOWING a third party client. I figured that out and it’s working now!
Thanks to all!
Thunderbird has an option to download complete messages.
Well T-Bird is made by Mozilla who a few years ago, vowed to help fight right wing disinfo. Try Evolution which does the same thing plus has added capabilities.
