In my part of New England, the governors of several states including Connecticut Massachusetts and I believe Rhode Island, have all said they refuse to issue state wide mask mandates and have generally found ways to leave it up to the various municipalities to implement if they want to.
Unlike in April/May 2020 when mandates were Announced it seemed that you had anywhere from 5 to 10 days from announcement to Implementation. So far, several towns in my area have Implemented their own mandates with 12 hours, sometimes even less notice. For example, one town posted the mandate at approximately 3:45in the afternoon to go into affect at 12:01 A.m. the next day. This left business is scrambling to get enough masks for employees, getting signs, etc.
Of course, every health department or government officials who issued these mandates set a goal was to help businesses, keeps them open, etc. If that was the case you would think they would give at least 36 to 48 hours notice so they can all prepare and be ready.
My current theory on this is they want to sell confusion and chaos to justify their power and when customers or businesses are caught off guard wait for the Karen’s to scream and moan on Facebook about how they were in XYZ store and not everyone was wearing masks, etc. When they could’ve come from a town next-door and had no idea something changed just a couple hours ago.

I work for a MA company and live in Dallas. They forced a mask mandate on me this past Friday. No way in hell I am getting the death shot.

This is a useless gesture, the only meaning of which is that you are a slave to the Democratic Party. Only the Dem elite is exempt, because they don’t have to wear masks at their $20,000 a plate fundraisers in CA, a locked-down masks-mandatory state.
Ignore these “mandates.” They’re nothing but politics and power grabs.
Not seeing it in Arizona, but we’re a little different.
I grew up in Mass, moved to FL in 85 when I was 19, spent 25 years there and moved to MO 10 years ago to a rural place where the general public hasn’t worn masks since late last Spring.
Go ahead and stay in New England and deal with it.

Last year, for a brief while individual municipalities were starting to do the mask thing, but there was no state-wide notice. I was prepared to drive from Phoenix to Cave Creek if need be. Then it went statewide and my planb was aborted. I spent the next months going maskless finding friend or foe.
This time, I have a list of stores, restaurants and professionals who didn’t impose that silly piece of non-legislation on us. I have also figured out that the local police have no interest in enforcing such an executive order, though they might enforce “trespassing” or “disorderly conduct”. The difference is now I know where I am wanted.
My GF is an RN. She has had “private” questions about going to the hospital for an illness (not China virus) and they are not “vaxxed”. The hospital will ask that Q and most people are afraid they will be in the system and traced.
I carry a mask around with me just in case I need it, but I’ve been routinely ignoring these stupid mandates since the vernal equinox.

I’m 59.5 years old and work for a VERY big high tech company in the silicon valley and they have yet to require vax’s. I’m not sure what I will do if they require it at some point. I’m leaning towards retiring in April-2022 when I turn 60. My 401K balance is about $2M plus I have my home with equity and plan on moving out of state when I retire. I’m not married but have a S/O who wants to get attached.

I figured Walmart would go back to MM guards at the doors after ClayJay made his proclamation two weeks ago, nope, it is up to the customer.
When ClayJay flopped he came back with some judge that proclaimed the EO from Governor Abbott was to be overruled and masks were mandatory in Dallas County.
Made my weekly run through Walmart, still no MM guards.
Good on Walmart but the people were back to 99.9% masks.
The pharmacy had them lining up for the clot shot, before it was empty.
A local abandoned gas station turned dive through testing station had cars around the block.
Looks like the local population of Ovis aries are now well trained.
