On Thursday, former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Michael Hayden retweeted an image that explicitly compared supporters of President Donald Trump to the Taliban, as reported by Fox News.
Hayden, a retired four-star general with the Air Force, who served as CIA Director from 2006 to 2009, retweeted another account which first posted the image: The tweet in question depicted a split-screen image with Islamic terrorists riding in a convoy of pickup trucks and waving their flags, alongside a caravan of Trump supporters in pickup trucks waving American flags. The caption read: “Their Taliban. Our Taliban.”
The comparison comes less than a week after the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan’s capital city of Kabul, effectively toppling the Western-backed government and reclaiming power. The speed with which they retook Afghanistan, as well as the subsequent chaos that has ensued in the days since, has led to universal condemnation of the Biden Administration’s poor handling of the withdrawal of American forces from the war-torn country. Thousands of American citizens remain trapped in the country after the Taliban announced that they had completely taken over the Hamid Karzai International Airport.

Just like the left to project and call conservatives totalitarian thugs.
Says the c*** who spied on innocent Americans at the NSA, and no doubt operated on US soil during his time at the CIA.
Another deep state, hate America jerk.
For those who continue to wonder which side the military will be on in CW II.
If we were like the Taliban, he would have already been finished.
Be all their sins remember’d.
But it’s been the (D)’s that turned Afghanistan over to the Taliban.
Hayden was always a Twit
Are Trump supporters blocking access to Dulles Airport? Are they going door-to-door throughout The District and Northern VA looking for Biden supporters to shoot in the street?! The comparison is farcical on its face. And this man served under Bush?! Another worthless general....
We out number the Military 50:1.
Yeah, they are better armed. Doesn’t go very far when the fuel supplies get cut off.
Christians, Jews, Anti-Vaxxers, Gun-owners, Stubborn old men & women - all enemies of the deep state.
Then where is our gift of $80 billion in free high tech weaponry?
Interesting comment.
I read last week that the reason that China is going to electric cars (and building 100s of coal fired power plants to charge them) is to conserve petroleum fuels for their military.
The ONLY way to make sure the intelligence agencies to work for the American people and not for a faction of Americans is to make it mandatory that a group of five private citizens (per agency) are put into observational, oversight roles. Each of the five should be from separate parts of the nation, have the absolute highest security clearance (equal to or more than anyone else in government) and have the capacity to monitor everything that the each agency does. This should be a revolving position that changes every four years, but is staggered so that there is always overlap.
These people should have no connection to government, and no connection to anyone in government. They must have been employed regularly for at least 10 years prior to coming to the agency, and they should not have any security clearance issues.
It should be made clear that these individuals are extensions of the average American citizen, and as such any plotting or attacks on them will be considered an attack on the average American citizen.
Good. I am like the Taliban.
Leave the pallet of cash and the million dollars worth of mil-spec weapons in my driveway.
I compare Hayden and his compatriots to the Stasi, Gestapo and KGB.

Incredible
The Taliban won
China is a smart country. While we have a bunch of woke ignorant idiots running our place, they know how to destroy us.
