PHOENIX (AP) — An appeals court on Thursday rejected an effort by the Arizona Senate to keep secret records of its ongoing review of the 2020 election in Maricopa County that are in the possession of the contractors conducting the recount.
The Arizona Court of Appeals ruled that the documents sought by the watchdog group American Oversight detailing how the recount and audit are being conducted are public and must be turned over.
Republicans who control the Senate argued that because the records are maintained by its contractors, they were not subject to public records law and that legislative immunity applies. But the court said that was not the case.
The court said the main contractor, Florida company Cyber Ninjas, was subject to the records law because it was performing a core government function that the Senate farmed out.
"Allowing the legislature to disregard the clear mandate of the (public records law) would undermine the integrity of the legislative process and discourage transparency, which contradicts the purpose of both the immunity doctrine and the (law)," acting presiding Judge Maria Elena Cruz wrote for the three-judge panel.

Not working yet!
Or these could be records that will allow other states to purge or destroy items. Could be secrets of the fraud busters.
Our election system is never going to be cleaned up. Its a permanent mess.
Just show us the results already ! We’re waiting !
(Cue the guy from caddy shack )
"Furthermore, an analysis by the website Influence Watch, a project of the conservative leaning Capital Research Center, determined that at "the end of 2018, at least 11 of American Oversight's 17 staffers and three of its four board members have known career histories with major left-wing organizations, Democratic Party campaigns, or Democratic officials."

I don't know who is aligned with which 'side' but I agree with the decision. These are public findings and belong to the people who paid for them. Of course the entire process and results will be publicly debated and critiqued by many.
So based on this evidence, this is nothing more than leftist/Democrat operatives trying to get a head start on dismissing the results of the audit by attacking the methods and credibility of the auditors. This request should be ignored, whether its legal or not to do so. Eff them. Time to play to win.
I agree, full transparency is necessary
There is only ONE reason they are trying to sit on this.
It does NOT support the democrat narrative.
On the surface of the issue, I would agree. There may be a distinction between public records and work product in progress. The R Senate should be sure to make whatever was in the document package considered by the court available to all friendly forces.
The good news:
"Kory Langhofer, the Senate's lawyer, said they planned to appeal to the Arizona Supreme Court."
This move may buy some valuable time for collecting evidence.
What on earth are you talking about? The election fraud in Arizona was not carried out by the Arizona Senate.
There is significant risk to some of being exposed for blatant criminal activity.
What happened to the preliminary report that was supposed to have come out on Friday?
“There is only ONE reason they are trying to sit on this.
It does NOT support the democrat narrative.”

Or, they WANT the democrats to sue to get them.
Grandpa Drudge is delusional. The Arizona Senate is the party who commissioned the audit. The Senate should see the results before they are made public. The left is trying to get hold of work results so that they can start firing salvos before the formal report is presented. The complicit Secretary of State is already trying to make the audit look bad.
What am I missing here? Whose side are they on?
The specific point is the Arizona Senate is trying to avoid exactly that exposure.
You are correct on every point.
“Grandpa Drudge” is on hallucinogenic drugs.
