Chuck Schumer said federal law enforcement officials need to crack down on fake COVID-19 vaccination cards, which are being sold online.
Schumer's announcement Sunday comes after AP previously reported how people are cheating the system and, worrying officials at colleges and universities across the country that are requiring proof students received the vaccine to attend in-person classes.
A user on the encrypted messaging app Telegram offered what they described as "COVID-19 Vaccine Cards Certificates," for as much as $200 each, the report said.
Schumer is demanding US Customs and Border Protection and the FBI team up with officials from the Department of Health and Human Services to launch a crackdown on the counterfeit cards and start a campaign to make clear that forging the cards could land people in federal prison.
He also wants the Justice Department to immediately prioritize cases involving fake vaccine cards and is pushing for Customs and Border Protection to work harder to find counterfeit cards being sent from overseas.
Federal agents have already seized thousands of fake vaccine cards this year. Customs and Border Protection officers working in Memphis seized another shipment earlier this week - sent from Shenzhen, China, - that contained dozens of fake cards, officials said.
Border agents knew immediately that the cards were fake, the agency said, because the cards were laden with typos, unfinished words, and incorrect or misspelled Spanish words on the backs of the cards.

I posted the actual statue read what it says it’s in plain English well American at least. Those fake cards are 100% at least two felonies both for those making them and those who then pass them off as real. It’s no different than forging a passport in fedgov eyes both are official documents protected by USC code.
Once again if government didn’t ask for these unconstitutional “cards” then they wouldn’t have to implement fines. More government BS waste. I say we fine politicians daily for their stupid and unconstitutional decisions.
I mean if sensoring the population is the goal. Just go full police state like they did to my friend on his second DUI the state put an ankle bracelet on him that had sensors to detect alcohol on the skin that was 8 years ago the sensor package is now small enough to fit on a dermal patch like the birth control patches that are 3 cm x 3 cm. Same tech could sense any number of blood parameters, alcohol,drugs, vivid, HIV, Ebola, TB, sodium, glucose the list is long and scary. The 4th should protect from this kinda abuse but ask any DUI offender it don’t mean diddly unless you want to never drive again or work so yeah about that 4th.

Your friend should have been required to take a daily dose of Antabuse. This would have made his deathly sick if he tried to drink alcohol.

The law says “seal”, not emblem. There is a difference. What laws are there regarding logos or emblems?

I’m prepared to quit if I have to. My wife is more reluctant but may also quit if pushed. The mandatory vaccines can be defeated if corporations feel the pain. This a bad time for companies to be looking for workers.

Many companies are behaving like highwaymen demanding, “Your money or your life”. It’s a horrible thing to put employees in that situation where you threaten their livelihood to force medicate them “for the greater good”. These companies deserve to fail, good and hard.
We need an official, digital government medical certificate that is updated with biometrics as people get their boosters.

Black markets exist when governments restrict what people want.
People would not buy a fake covid ID if the government was not pushing the ID that without it you will lose some of your freedoms. The first freedom is the decision NOT to be vaccinated!
You have your freedom, but you will be punished if you exercise that freedom.
