I really regret not doing more to deal with the lung issues after general surgery. What an idiot I was. Hopefully I can reverse course. I am going to have to dig up that spirometer

Exercise the lungs

And no matter how bad you feel with Covid get out of bed and walk around.

oh and by that I mean if you are at home. Try not to just lay in bed. Clearly if you are at deaths door in the hospital you might not be able to get out of bed.

There is such a thing as a roto bed. Not sure if they have determined it does no good for Covid... or whatever...but the brother should look into it. You can rent them in some hospitals. Might have to have qualified nurses who know how to deal with it

This is truly the most important info for anyone who doesn’t want to vaccinate and gets sick

So it does not work on people like my moms friend who got fully vaccinated and is now in the ICU with SARS‑CoV‑2?

Curious.

Sounds like too late for the infusion treatment for the friend. You have to do it early

But I get your question. He probably just means that if you arent going to get vaxxed then you better have a plan...but could mean something else

we will see what he says.

I am not vaxxed so I have to have plan. The infusion is part of it. As soon as I think I might have it I will go into action.

Fully vaccinated, high risk people are also eligible for this treatment should they have a symptomatic breakthrough case. But there is a window. It has to be given before someone has reached the point where they have to be hospitalized or receiving oxygen therapy. So get it quick if you are high risk.

She was feeling bad last week and they insisted on her being tested and sent her home to wait for the results which came today.

Because obviously a 78 year old woman with breathing problems is nothing to worry about unless it is the flavor of the month. Her husband took her in yesterday as she was gasping for air.

The biggest beef I have with the medical profession is their insistence on delaying treatment.

They did not do this before.

And no, the hospital is not full.

Most of my patients who I have had the opportunity to refer have said that within 24 hours its like night and day.

That is so good to hear!

That is what happened to the poster who died from it.

I get that it is hit and miss with things to try but if I get Covid then give me a damn drug even if it might not work.

I encourage anyone not vaxxed to know about Dr Ben Marble’s group at myfreedoctor.com and at least try something. He ended up also needing an infusion..but it is possible he would have died if he hadn’t been popping those pills early on. Who knows.

A friend of a friend had this done in Texas - he got a somewhat severe case of it - started feeling better within hours...said it was ice cold in his veins but that was the worst side effect.

So good to see treatments like this becoming more available as more are stockpiled.

That’s I heard as well. Good to know it is true not just in isolated cases.

Yes, that was a sad thread. RIP.

Sadder still is that some who have viewed it haven’t learned anything from it. The absolutely worst post I’ve ever read on this forum was someone using helpful posts in that thread to attack one of the doctors on another thread, accuse him of being a fake doctor, and claim that he effectively killed that poster. Some people just suck at being human I guess.

Good. I found St. Joseph’s right in my back yard. I’ll ask my niece how much the monoclonal antibody treatments cost.

There was a Dr in Texas who was posting on the Texags site when he got Covid. He died from it. Horrible to watch someone dying in progress trying to deal with an unknown disease.

I could never ever be in the medical profession and deal with the dying...notwithstanding I couldn’t stomach the day to day “gore” in the medical profession.

The body does such weird things. I had a CT scan with dye and my hands were so hot I could have sworn the metal I was grabbing had been in the oven... that was the only body part that had the severe reaction. The rest was just the typical flush feeling

I will check that out thank you.

I have been a lung patient for some time and the way they used to react and how they react now is night and day.

When I went in with breathing problems they would start treating the symptoms right away. I delayed once going in because I was busy with absolutely vital work stuff and received a royal chewing out because the delay had allowed the crud to settle in and I ended up in the hospital for almost a week.

And that is what I mean, it used to be treat for the most logical problem even if they were not sure because not treating it would allow the problem to get worse.

Now... let us stick this swab up your nose and we will call you and let you know if you are actually sick.

What?

What the heck happened to the American Medical establishment?

Same here. Was your treatment called Regen-COV (from Regeneron)? I liked the cold feeling running through my hand when they hooked me up to the IV. I also weirdly felt “normal” after the IV was complete, and I had to lie down where they kept checking on me to make sure there was no serious side effects for the next hour. When she told me to get up I did feel lightheaded and I felt like I was going to pass out so I layed down again for 20 minutes. After that I got up and the light headed feeling vanished but I still felt like before the treatment with a sickly feeling like a flu/fever despite my temperature being 98.6. When I got home I layed down and the fever came back to 99-100 but after 24 hours it disappeared completely. That was July 28th or 13 days ago. Still don’t feel 100% and my lungs arent 100% either but the coughing attacks have improved. My taste and smell returned, and I’m eating normally, but strange I still feel like I have a flu and fatigue despite not having a temperature.
