Nothing new. I remember fifty five years such “tests” showing carcinogens and other things that would kill you in steaks.

Americans eat a lot of red meat. Depending on the meat and preparation, raw, rare, medium rare and anything after that is a sin. Lamb, pork (not everyone), chicken and beef.
Venison, duck and quail...
Americans got big and strong eating meat. Look at the cultures who don’t eat a lot of meat. Those cultures are usually conquered.
Another example is football (not soccer). How do you think people grow to 6’6” and 325 lbs? It ain’t just tofu or collards.

There was a massive shift in the American diet in the mid-80s (30 years ago, ironic, no?) that forced the idea that “whole grains” are healthy on the American populace. Meanwhile the incidence of heart disease, diabetes, and myriad other maladies have beset our nation like never before. The problem is not red meat. The problem is WHEAT!
Wheat is poison.
