Another favorite band from my youth.

I met him very briefly backstage at Pine Knob in Michigan.
A couple band members became Christians. Some buddies of mine had a sign that read Jesus Loves You they were holding up at a concert.
Dave Hope, the bass player saw it and had a crew member hand them backstage passes. Thus began a friendship.

The group Kansas, a staple on both AOR and oldies radio stations. This is a compliment, in that 45 years from when they hit the scene their music sounds fresh and inspiring, unlike the crap produced today.

Godspeed. I’ve been in several garage bands, none of them with enough talent to do justice to Carry On.

I heard "Dust In The Wind" at least three times on Sirius/XM this weekend as well as "Carry On."
Now I know why.
During the late 1970s - Kansas was a top band and a national headliner act.

Sad. My dad passed at 71 too. Way too young.
Brings back a lot of good memories thinking about their music.

When Kansas first album came out my cousin bought it and told me "you gotta hear this band!" I went over to his house and we listened to the whole LP. Great times back then.
