The Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is highly effective against the highly transmissible delta variant, the company announced on Thursday (July 1).
Though the analysis was conducted on only a small number of participants and hasn't yet been peer-reviewed, it suggests that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, like the Pfizer and Moderna's vaccines, may provide a buffer for the U.S. against the highly transmissible variant. The findings were submitted as two separate studies to the preprint server bioRxiv.
The delta variant (B.1.617.2) was first discovered in India in October 2020, and the World Health Organization designated it a "variant of concern" in May 2021, Live Science previously reported. The variant has spread to at least 92 countries and prompted new COVID-19 restrictions in some places. In the U.K., the delta variant now accounts for more than 90% of newly diagnosed cases, and in the U.S., it currently makes up more than 20% of new cases, Live Science reported.
Delta is thought to be around 60% more transmissible than the alpha variant, the variant first discovered in the U.K. and the one that is currently dominant in the United States. A recent study conducted by Public Health England found that Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine was 88% effective against symptomatic disease caused by the delta variant, while AstraZeneca's vaccine was 60% effective against the variant, Live Science reported.
Because Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine is very similar to Pfizer's vaccine (they're both mRNA vaccines), experts think it will likely confer a similar amount of protection. But less was known about how protective Johnson & Johnson's vaccine would be against the delta variant. Some experts predicted that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine would confer similar protection against delta as the AstraZeneca vaccine because they use the same platform,

They all do.
Danger of “delta variant” is exaggerated to continue the fear. Fear allows populaces to be manipulated.
Dr. Yeadon, former Chief Science Officer for Pfizer’s Allergy and Infectious Diseases division, said that a researcher located those who’d had SARS1 in 2003 and tested them this year, with that original SARS1 virus. Those people were still immune, after 17 years.
The researcher then tested those people with SARS2 (Covid). Those people were immune. There is ‘only’ a 22% difference in the genomes between Sars1 and Sars2 and so immunity held.
But note those ill in 2003 did not maintain active antibodies for 17 years. Their immune sytem hibernated those (my words) antibodies until it recognized the pathogen from years ago and began producing antibodies.
There are two wings to the immune system and Big Pharma is focusing on ‘active antibodies’ as if that is an accurate indicator of immunity. It actually means ‘activated immunity’, when you may have immunity but haven’t been exposed in so long you don’t have the antibodies.
Dr. Yeadon says the ‘variants’ are no more than 1% or 2% different from Covid and those who’ve had Covid will be immune to the variants.
The Deep State just wants a repeat performance, They want to put us through the lockdowns and panic as if it never happened before; they like the way we obeyed and want to see it again. Only this time they are going to punish those who called them out on their lies. :(
If you survive the initial injection of the stuff.
RE: If you survive the initial injection of the stuff.
It’s just ONE injection in the case of J&J.
So no two injections?
I survived the Pfizer shot and am doing well.
Me too!
“The Deep State just wants a repeat performance, They want to put us through the lockdowns and panic as if it never happened before; they like the way we obeyed and want to see it again. Only this time they are going to punish those who called them out on their lies.”
Remember, it’s the grand prep for the ‘22 election. Heavy verbal artillery to soften the enemy (us) positions, then the armor and mechanized infantry and then the invasion (steeling ANOTHER election). Get the Congress and in two years implement everything while purging the military!
Wonderful! It worked once, rinse and repeat. They just don’t want any opposition to anything they do!
As you said, they’ll punish anyone who opposes them on any subject. We’ll, we’re going to have to start, like it or not, or there won’t be another Independence Day…not that anyone feels any freedom today. At least, I don’t under this ‘foreign’ occupation by born American communists/fascists who stole and subjugated this wonderful Republic.
When it starts knocking out the other variants among the unvaccinated in terms of percentages, that makes it a real danger in two ways:
It’s more contagious,
and people are used to the older ones, which are not quite as contagious, so their self-protectiveness may be decreased.
RE: So no two injections?
Nope. J&J touts itself as a one shot vaccine ( SO FAR ).
This may help to persuade those who have had the disease not to worry so much, but what about those who haven’t had it? This research is good but does not prove what you seem to want it to prove, that vaccine is worthless to everyone.
There is other, not contradictory but additional, research that shows that previous infection plus vaccination is much better than just previous infection in preventing new cases.
Let’s whip out those studies to show proof ... no studies... just a SWAG by Faux Fauci!!!!!!
“There is other, not contradictory but additional, research that shows that previous infection plus vaccination is much better than just previous infection in preventing new cases.”
Link or reference?
Of course, its all about making people put the masks back on and never be free..all about power and control. In Israel, they do have the delta variant, but guess what, NO DEATHS, in over 9 days so what does that say..this variant is a freakin exaggeration because the commies are feeling the power get sucked out of them so they need something else
Some of our crew not so much.

False. Those who have already have Covid are in for the more immediate severe adverse reactions.

Delta variant, Delta variant, Delta variant, bawk bawk.....
2 things of interest to me:
1. BIAS - Note the definitive title...No doubt...J&J protects against Delta Vriant
Title:
Johnson & Johnson says COVID-19 vaccine protects against the Delta variant
Actual text: Lots of wiggle words (I have put in CAPS).
Though the analysis was conducted on only a SMALL number of participants and HASN’T YET BEEN PEER-REVIEWED, it SUGGESTS that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, like the Pfizer and Moderna’s vaccines, MAY provide a buffer for the U.S. against the highly transmissible variant.
Because Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine is very SIMILAR to Pfizer’s vaccine (they’re both mRNA vaccines), experts think it will LIKELY confer a similar amount of protection. But less was known about how protective Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine would be against the delta variant. Some experts predicted that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine would confer similar protection against delta as the AstraZeneca vaccine because they use the same platform,
And so What about Pfizer...Actually this popped up today...No information about the specific study or if it was peer reviewed...
The Pfizer COVID vaccine is 70 PERCENT effective against the new ultra-contagious Delta variant, claims a new study from the Hebrew University, according to Kan. This is compared to an approximately 95% rate of effectivity of the vaccine against earlier strains of COVID.
According to the study, the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is also less effective at preventing people infected with the Delta variant from developing serious symptoms.
Earlier today, Haaretz reports on Health Ministry figures that indicated that the Delta variant is responsible for more than 90% of new COVID cases in Israel over the past two weeks; compared to just 60% of new cases in the country just two weeks ago.
Very sloppy reporting.
“Though the analysis was conducted on only a small number of participants and hasn’t yet been peer-reviewed...”
Translated: NOT scientific.
But “trust us”...
