A 12-year-old shot and killed an armed burglar Wednesday morning during a break-in attempt at an East Feliciana home.
The shooting happened before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at a home on Winchester Lane. Deputies said a child resident of the home shot the intruder, who was reportedly armed with a gun.
The child who shot the burglar is not expected to face charges at this time, officials said Friday.

Kid probably saved himself from much worse than a burglary.

Agree. Seeing up close and personal the damage a firearm can do and knowing you killed someone is a lot for a 12 year old to process and come to terms with.
12 year old is especially proud of hitting the left testicle and then the right as in practice sessions.

I hunt a lot, since my early teens. But you don’t see that on another human.
The parents of the child will probably face some kind of federal charge for not having all firearms unloaded and locked up safely out of reach of children and anyone else in need of self defense.
