Indulging in chocolate is one surefire way to satisfy a sweet tooth. And according to a new study published in The FASEB Journal, your health can actually benefit from this treat.
To gather their findings, the team studied 19 postmenopausal women who ate 100 grams of chocolate within one hour of waking up in the morning. Next, their volunteers dined on the same amount of the sweet one hour before going to sleep. After examining weight gain and similar measures in comparison to people who didn't eat chocolate at all, the researchers discovered that those who consumed the treat didn't experience a weight increase. Plus, they noticed that the women's appetite, gut microbiome balance, and sleep quality improved specifically by consuming cocoa in the morning.

I’ve noticed that when I eat some dark chocolate before going to bed my blood sugar will frequently be much lower than usual the next morning.
These days, “science” says lots of things, some of which actually is science, but much of which is cherry-picked data drivel.
You are an intergalactic Alien then, I’m calling the gubmint on you!!😜😜
These people obviously didn’t have the same Analysis of Variance course most of us had.
“Would it help if I identified as a post-menopausal woman?”
Dude! Reading your, ‘Sunday Morning Routine,’ I’d say you definitely qualify to be on our team, LOL! :)
Someone mentioned “chocolate”....
OK, where are “scientists” like this bought? Is there a yard sale or something on crappola like this?
As to women and chocolate. Gimme a break.
‘never liked chocolate...’ There’s always some sociopath trying to ruin it for the rest of us!
/sarcasm off
So says the “Director of Nutrition” at Hershey Foods Corporation. LOL
Politically incorrect now, but I was reminded of Bill Cosby and his ‘chocolate cake for breakfast’ schtick.

Everyone remembers my OLD tag line it seems! I’ve been pinged to this thread - a LOT, LOL!
Gotta be dark 70% or better. And there is always some in the house. Always. :)
Thanks. I am going to try this.
Who paid for the study? Years ago, Harvard released a study showing sugar didn’t cause tooth decay. Paid for by the sugar industry.
That's perverted. 🤡
I would end up buying it the day before and eating it that night. So much for that idea.
Make adjustments according to taste and your microwave. Too dry? More milk. Not sweet enough, prefer real sugar? Experiment.
Pinch of salt, drop of vanilla are good. I like it a little liquid on th bottom, invert and serve like a lava cake.
yeah, well we love chocolate so just have to watch out for calories and sugar
Yeah, huge sample size, huh?
