If you are familiar with Wisconsin, are there any legal and cultural differences of which I should be aware? (I took the kids to Nashville one year. Here we just take kids into the bar with us to hear a band. There after a certain time (6P?) we could only stand on the sidewalk and listen. Disappointing.)
If you come to Kentucky, stop by Knob Creek Gun Range, home of the worlds largest machine gun shoot(at least it was before Covid). You could swing east on 44 over towards 65 and catch the highway from the Clermont exit towards Bardstown to see your favorite distiller in action. Jim Beam isn’t too far off that exit in fact.
For a good time, swing by downtown Portland any night this summer.
Sounds like a very busy summer.
Any way - No trip to Missouri is complete without a visit to Branson. There's an authentic old fashioned Dime Store called Dicks Five and Dime just a block or so up from the Landing.
Around the corner from that is Clocker's Cafe - Best deal for an old fashioned Ozark Hillbilly Breakfast.
Pretty wide open here. Masks are scarce.
I’m in Wal Mart ground-zero, Rogers-Bentonville.
Great chef at Yeyo’s, Tex-mex. Also, Local Lime has great tacos.
Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is overwhelming. Also, great Native American Museum, both in Bentonville.

If you decide you want to keep traveling into spring 2022, hit the Hang Out Festival in Gulf Shores, AL May 20th - 22nd. Concerts in the sand on the beach. Biggest names in the business. Not to miss.
I hear the North side of Milwaukee has lots of fun things to experience in the summer. Cruising the east side of Glendale (just north of Milwaukee proper) along West Capitol Drive has many eyeopening tourist stops; be sure to stop and walk around.
“Im stopping by to visit you! Where should I be?”
Somewhere else.
Rock City in Chattanooa.
In Springfield Missouri Wonders Of Wildlife Museum is pretty good but not quite a “must see”. DO stop at Andy’s for frozen custard. DON’T eat at Mexican Villa regardless of what some long time trailer trash residents tell you.
Bridge day, West Virginia.
Ooops. I almost forgot...visit The Lost Sea in Sweetwater, TN. Both the Lost Sea and Rock City are mostly natural formations. Re your experience in Nashville...I presume the “no minors” after 6 pm, or whatever, was more about TN’s smoking codes and ordinances than anything else. The legislature, in their infinite wisdom — NOT, passed regs for business owners. If you allow smoking in the building, it has to be for 21 years and older. If you want to allow minors in your restaurant or bar; no smoking allowed. Yeah, it’s stupid. I may be wrong about the legislature; maybe it was City Councils or County Commissions that created the regs.
Try Chicago if you want “adventure”!π
Go to MLK Blvd. Axe for Jojo. He’ll set you up with the good stuff.
.
Sounds like phishing to me. Hard pass.

Laura Ingalls’ house is in Mansfield MO
There’s a big Bass Pro Shops in Springfield.
