They rush to the scene - and run over him, killing him.
Sounds like something from “Police Squad!”
Shouldn’t have called the police.
More like Keystone Cops....
Inspector Clouseau....
I think that qualifies as a bad day at work. Not to mention an unfortunate turn of events for the shooting victim.
I hope it wasn't on purpose!
Don't police get driving training?
Did this officer go to Frank Drebin's Police Squad for training?
Maybe we don’t need to de-fund the police, just their vehicles? ;)
Vehicles and lethal weapons. Still need SWAT teams.
Accidents happen. Perhaps he misunderstood the location. Perhaps the guy was in black block. Stuff happens.
Because we all expect to see people lying in the street in the middle of the night at any moment when we are driving.
That’s not an accident. That’s negligence and had anyone but a cop done this they’d be up on charges for negligent homicide or something similarly serious.
The victim is clearly visible in the dashcam video. The only way the officer missed seeing him is if she was distracted. Which makes the case for negligence.
At the least her situational awareness is pathetic.
“Perhaps the guy was in black block.”
You didn’t bother to look at the video before passing judgment on the victim, did you?
(That’s not a question.)

“Doesn’t mean it’s OK, but it is an accident.”
But someone screwed up and someone(s) will to have to pay.
I am a long time freeper who pretty much follows the only read the headline before commenting practice. Gets a lot of us in trouble.
Cole, a Black man, was lying on his back in the street and bleeding heavily from wounds to his left arm and his left shoulder, police said.

Officer Amanda Rosales
Article says the cop was looking for house numbers as he made the turn. Wasn’t looking at the road... yeah.
Female driver.
on a few occasions i’ve seen police cruisers staying stopped at a traffic light after it turned from red to green because the officer behind the wheel was too busy messing around on their console mounted computer...
I read from another source that she was unsure of the location and so she was looking at her GPS. I did an image search for her and found one where she’s wearing a gymnast outfit. She was driving an SUV cruiser. She could probably barely see over the dash even when not looking at the GPS. New to the force as of Jan 2020.
