A woman in Pinellas County, Florida, was arrested late Sunday after she allegedly punched her girlfriend in the face for "talking in her sleep about an ex," documents showed.
Officers responded around 10:39 p.m. to a neighbor's report of a fight happening at a residence in the city of Dunedin and encountered the alleged 21-year-old victim, The Smoking Gun reported, citing an arrest affidavit.
According to the police report, the unnamed woman said she was asleep at the apartment she shares with her 23-year-old girlfriend Alexis Talley when the latter woke her up because she allegedly started "talking in her sleep about an ex."
Talley then allegedly started to punch the woman in the face following a verbal argument.
Police said the alleged victim "had visible swelling to the right side of the face (consistent) with her statement," according to the arrest report.
After being read her rights, Talley claimed she and her girlfriend did have an argument due to the woman talking in her sleep about an ex but insisted "it was only verbal and not physical," according to the report. Additionally, Talley explained the injuries the woman sustained were "from a previous disorder and not from tonight."
Talley was arrested for domestic battery and booked into county jail. She was released from custody Monday on $2,500 bond, with a judge prohibiting her from having any contact with the alleged victim.
As Talley was previously arrested for a battery charge that resulted in a no contest plea, she is facing an enhanced felony charge for the alleged attack on her girlfriend, according to The Smoking Gun.
She is also currently facing a felony marijuana possession charge after deputies performed a traffic stop on her last month and allegedly found two bags filled with the drug in the vehicle she was driving.
Court records indicted Talley had previously been convicted of marijuana possession, driving under the influence and disorderly conduct.
Are the two still a couple? Or is the crazy one available? Asking for a friend.
No racial description of the perp for the usual reasons.

Domestic battery conviction will get you banned from firearms ownership for life.
Even felons can get their rights restored, but not those convicted of misdemeanor domestic assault/battery.
The Romantics works, the picture in my head was the woman being beaten up for singing the words describing Jolene in her sleep.
Is that based on some sort of data?
Queers have an astronomical rate of murdering their “significant others.”
You missed the main story.
I guess they have thin walls in that apartment :)
Puts a whole new meaning to takin’ a lickin’.
Also an astronomical rate of depression and suicide.
That’s based on flawed law.
The two conditions that cannot be remedied are dishonorable discharge and domestic violence conviction.
Permanent loss of firearms rights.
Most states have ways for felons to get their rights back.
That’s the lesbian type stuff they portray in the movies?
You can’t have firearm if you get a dishonorable discharge?
No.
It’s on Form 4473.
Homosexuality is not only a mental illness, it is also a violent and dangerous mental illness.
Fact is homosexuals are more likely to commit acts of violence against others than are normal heterosexuals.
.....And they can all drop dead if they can’t handle this key fact.
No
Wow, she looks like a nice respectable woman in that picture. Not a pot smoking, impared driving, girlfriend beating dame on a downward spiral. What a shame.
“Queers have an astronomical rate of murdering their significant others.”
True. People with temporary, same sex attractions are stuck in a pit of despair and sadly reject any help out of the pit, since their attraction is caused by childhood shame that is too intense to verbalize. Cure: verbalize childhood shame, feel relief and find people of the opposite gender attractive.
