Oh, this again. All the “coffee is good for you so drink more of it” propaganda that abounded during the Obama years is back . . .

I will live forever, my heart will never stop. 24 oz minimum every day, with a little bit more to get me through the meetings.

of course. Why go for a job when you can spend 4 hours of your morning sat on your duff whilst the caffiene raises your heart rate an average of 10bpm?

Lol. Perfect. In the last couple of weeks there was another “study” saying the opposite, that coffee was bad. Some Freeper back then accurately predicted that an article like this would soon follow.

2021 is an odd-numbered year, so I guess that means coffee is good for us this year.
A study in 2022 will declare it to be very unhealthy.
But, by 2023, it will be healthy again.

Eggs too.

ah yes, the consensus “experts” chime in once again.

fortunately experience taught me they were wrong years ago, when i didn’t die after consuming mass quantities of coffee for years as an engineer.

Headline, 6 months from now:

“Scientists determine that coffee consumption may lead to increased risk of heart disease”.

Coffee has different effects on people. My mother drank it all day, black, and had a cup before bed to help her sleep. She lived to 92.

If I have more than 2 cups I break out in a sweat and get very anxious. I drink nothing else that’s got caffeine, ever.

Interesting claims about the unhealthiness of decaf. Not sure I buy it, but I’ve long considered decaf a waste of time. I suppose that some people just love the taste of coffee but don’t want the caffeine jolt. To each his own, I guess. But I’m not one of those people. It’s like non-alcoholic beer, IMO. If you’re going to drink a beer, drink a beer.

You need to drink organic, shade tree grown coffee, readily available at any health food store.

Most coffee ( including Starbucks ) is not organic, and coffee crops generally employ a more heavy use of pesticides than other crops.

Coffee has saved my life.

Specifically, without coffee, I would have undoubtedly killed several family members, resulting in my death from execution.

I had to decrease my caffeine intake because it plays hell with my arrhythmia. I try to space out the cups. I believe the half life of caffeine is about 4 hours.

Analysis of three large, well-known heart disease studies found drinking one or more cups of caffeinated coffee was associated with decreased heart failure risk.

“Drinking decaffeinated coffee did not have the same benefit and may be associated with an increased risk for heart failure.”

More good news.

Between my wife’s great cooking skills and the great local fresh veggies/fruits, meats and seafood, this is more great news.

We start our mornings off with a couple of cups freshly ground coffee and have our glass of wine with a good dinner.

No tricky/expensive diets, starvation days nor expensive new B$ posing as live forever stuff with a minimum of carbs and zero prepared food.
