Orange County woman's death after 2nd dose of Moderna vaccine spurs concern from family

SANTA ANA, Calif. (KABC) -- The Orange County Coroner's office is investigating the death of a woman who died just days after she received her second dose of the Moderna vaccine.

The family says the grandmother was healthy before she got her shot, and that her sudden death came as a shock.

A conversation with staff at the Orange County Coroner's office about Griselda Flores' death, raised red flags for her son Richard Cardenas and the family.

"They made it seem like this was not the first call that they had," Cardenas said.

Assistant Chief Deputy Coroner Brad Olsen says that's right.

Olsen told Eyewitness News a handful of deaths, including Flores', are under investigation because they happened one to three days after the person got a COVID-19 vaccine dose.

"That means our doctors want to run some additional studies, whether it be toxicology, micros or just a review of medical records to see their treatment course, and look for those other underlying conditions," Olsen said.

"But we haven't come to the conclusion yet that the vaccine had anything directly to do with the causes of death," he added.

Cardenas says his mom was a healthy, outgoing, hard-working mother and grandmother.

The day after her second shot on April 14 at a CVS store in Orange, Flores complained of the expected side effects, such as chills, body aches and a fever.

"She looked really pale though, and she just said she was tired, and she was going to go home and sleep," Cardenas recalled.

Two days after her second dose, Flores' family says they found her dead in her room.

Let's not mince words, J&J is gene therapy. I hope you would be just as happy if I took an adenovirus injection for gene therapy for cancer treatment. Stimulates the immune system a bit differently but the same mechanisms are used.

I'm only suggesting a little balance in perspective. I consider it pretty amazing medicine but there's a lot more research to be done on the benefits and risks.

No, that Astellas vaccine candidate did not prove to be effective in meeting its desired endpoints (e.g., provide protection from mortality). Your and others’ participation in that trial helped prove that. Again, props to you for volunteering.

The Moderna candidate vaccine had very promising results in its Phase 2 trial. It produced good immune responses sufficient to prevent CMV entry into a range of target cell types and thus prevent primary and congenital infections. I expect Moderna’s Phase 3 trial kicking off now to have good results. Many thousands of future American babies can be expected to be spared from disease resulting from prenatal maternal infections.

There are legitimate concerns with overstimulated immune systems with the vaxes. But there are many worse cases with the disease and 1% die. And of course you can take actions to avoid getting the disease so everyone has to evaluate their own risk of that. In general older people will be better off getting vaccinated and younger better off without. But there's no hard and fast rule.

There are medication protocols that cut the risk of death among the most vulnerable by 85%.

Since those infected and treated with medications then have immunity, that overall treatment outcome is MUCH BETTER than the 'vaccinated' who only tested for 2 months for which they claimed 95% efficacy. Those vaccinated can still get infected during those two months. There was just a 6 month follow up stating that more were infected after Pfizer's 2 month trial.

People are responsible for they decisions they make. But it is their decision regarding the COVID-19 vaccination. No point in making it personal with taunts and the like no matter if you did not or did get vaccinated.

Yes, the CDC stopped counting breakthrough cases, only hospitalization and death: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/health-departments/breakthrough-cases.html Shows 439 deaths so approximately 44,000 breakthrough cases since about 1% were fatal the last time they gave full numbers in April. But that's 44,000 breakthrough cases in the time we had about 5,000,000 total cases in US. We can't pretend the vaccines are perfect and there should be no breakthrough cases.

The danger as many have pointed out, is that vaccines may give people a false sense of confidence in protection.

And then the risks for Covid 'vaccines' are worse than they are for HCQ and Ivermectin, type protocols.

HCQ is an imnune suppressant and it stops the overreaction of the immune system in full blown COVID. It tequires other meds to actually treat the infection. Ivermectin is an immune system regulator as well as anti-viral. They are not silver bullets. Vaccines are not silver bullets, you can still get infected with the same numeric outcome as the non-vaccinated.

But the key point is that the vaccinated have had about 1% as many cases as non-vaccinated people.

Bottom line I am better off with the vax than getting COVID. However my chances of getting COVID unvaxed were very low. And getting lower. It's pretty obvious that pretty soon nobody else will need to get vaxxed as long as people of both pursasions, vaxed and unvaxed, don't take excessive risks and get the best treatments if they get the disease.
