A tweet by NBA legend Dominique Wilkins saying an Atlanta restaurant discriminated against him Saturday was shared on social media thousands of times within a couple of hours, but Le Bilboquet in Buckhead says it was enforcing its dress code.
The Atlanta Hawks superstar and Basketball Hall of Famer tweeted: “In my many years in the world, I’ve eaten at some of the greatest restaurants in the world, but never have I felt prejudice or been turned away because of the color of my skin, until today in #atlanta In @LeBilboquetAtl.” He ended the tweet with the hashtag #turnedawaybecauseimblack.

He’s full of shit.
Probably is.
asking blacks to follow rules is apparently racist.
We’re talking about Atlanta here so it’s not like they aren’t used to having affluent blacks come into restaurants. We are, though, used to blacks whining about discrimination whenever they don’t get their way.
If the restaurant has got a policy, then they’ve got a policy. Look, I’m white, and I’ve been asked to remove a baseball cap in a restaurant that had a no-baseball-caps policy. It’s got nothing to do with race, and yet every time these clowns don’t get their own way, they cry racism.
I looked at the Google reviews for this place, and people were complaining about the service and being turned away because of the dress code months back. Not unique to Dominique, but now he has painted a target on them. If I worked there I would prepare myself for the BLM gang to show up.
Compare this with how Adam Sandler dealt with getting turned away from IHOP a few weeks ago.
Class vs Ass..
Why do guys wear hats indoors when everyone is aware that it is rude and ungentlemanly?
We were walking int St Peters in Rome and I had to ask my boyfriend to remove his cap. Why not just remove it before someone tells you to?
Note:....Designer pants and shirt mean nothing. Where’s a damn picture.
Reading between the lines in the Yelp reviews from months ago, you get the impression this place is trying to keep out the gangsta rap/ghetto fabulous element which is prevalent in Buckhead these days. They don’t want the Lenox Mall crowd coming to their restaurant. I hope Buckhead Village in which they are located has good security!
In America, well known sports figures are often treated like royalty.
So they get used to being praised and spoiled from junior high school going forward.
This restaurant might end up apologizing on Facebook because they don’t want their business burnt down and looted by BLM thugs.
That still does nothing to elevate the public image of black people in the eyes of the general public.
But if a grocery store has a mask policy, you’re supposed to follow that? Hmm....
You forget its there, mostly.
I don’t normally wear baseball caps in nice restaurants. I’m well aware that it’s ill-mannered, but one day I was traveling and misplaced my comb, and was my hair was pretty unkempt, so I tried to cover it up with a cap. The restaurant called me out for it, so, fair enough, I continued my lunch with bed-head for all to see.
I get the impression that the majority of people under the age of 50 would qualify as “unchurched”. They grew up without organized religion having much direct influence in their lives or in their family routines.
Many just don’t know any better than to keep their trusty ballcaps on everywhere.
Plus, it’s now okay to dress casually almost everywhere, even sweatpants at a wedding is not unheard of in some circles.
“I was wearing designer casual pants and a shirt.”
Translated: Sweats and an athletic jersey, both prohibited by the restaurant’s dress code. Undoubtedly there is a Popeye’s nearby where he would fit right in.
Good parents will teach their children proper manners. I think that died out in 1968.
Based on some of the Yelp reviews from 2018 and 2019, I would not want to visit this restaurant. The sense I get is that it is overpriced, has hit or miss service and food and beverage quality, and has snooty management with standards inconsistently applied/enforced.
Another elitist, entitled black leftist.
