Blood clots are an extremely rare but serious side effect of AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine, regulators announced on Wednesday.
The benefits of AstraZeneca's vaccine still outweigh the risks, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) said in a press release. Still, the agency's safety committee said it's important to know the signs of a possible clot.
A blood clot occurs when the blood thickens and forms a semi-solid mass. It can be a helpful response to stop bleeding in the case of injury, but these blockages can cause problems if they cut off blood flow to a vital area.
Blood clots can cause blockages in the legs, abdomen, and lungs. Most of the blood clots associated with the AstraZeneca vaccine have occurred in veins in people's brains.
These clots, known as cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST), can lead to stroke, seizures, and death.
So far, most of the clots reported have occurred in women under 60 years of age within two weeks of vaccination.
Since young people are more likely to experience this side effect, UK vaccine regulators recommend that people under 30 do not get the AstraZeneca shot unless they've already received their first dose.
Blood clot symptoms include shortness of breath and headaches The EMA said patients who got the AstraZeneca vaccine should seek medical assistance immediately if they have the following symptoms:
shortness of breath chest pain swelling in your leg persistent abdominal (belly) pain neurological symptoms, including severe and persistent headaches or blurred vision Some mild side effects, like pain at the injection site or other body aches, are common in the days post-vaccine.
But if you experience severe or persistent symptoms around four to 20 days after vaccination, you should seek medical attention, according to the World Health Organization.
Blood clots are typically treated with anti-clotting medication. Complications can be avoided if the clot is caught early.
If they are so “rare,’ why the article then giving a ‘heads up’?

<.<
They are ‘rare’ from the vaccine, but not ‘rare’ from other causes.
I had a DVT, Deep Vein Thrombosis, in my left leg last year and went to the doctor because my leg was swollen and I had a hard time breathing. They immediately put me in the hospital on blood thinners. A month later I had a quad by-pass ..................
Maybe they should give a dose of warfarin with each shot.
I was injecting a drug for psoriatic arthritus.
I had a stroke, and during the following months had a PE.
The specialists could find no reason at all for the multiple clots forming in my body. They sent me to an oncologist.
The oncologist took so much blood out of me for testing, I swear she emptied my body LOL.
Nothing was wrong.
Then she hit the books, and discovered the drug I was injecting had a rare side effect. It could cause your body to randomly throw clots. She told me to discontinue the medication. I have not had a problem since.
I will not get the vaccine in any form, period.
I will not spend a week in the stroke ward ever again.
... Or a dose of D-Con..................

Did a search for “Blood clots side effect of AstraZeneca vaccine”, removing the “very rare” phrase.
Pretty much every result has “very rare” in it.
Results from USA, the EU. The whole world is following a script.
So rare, 18 countries suspended AZ vaccine usage. https://www.businessinsider.com/astrazeneca-covid-vaccine-countries-suspend-denmark-thailand-batch-blood-clots-2021-3?op=1
Hence why I posed what I did. I did forget the sarcasm /s tag before posting, but yeah.
p
If you ever fly, then you should be aware of the symptoms of blood clots.
They are a rare side effect of any medication.
I have to wonder if the blood clots are actually linked to the vaccine, or are a statistical blip. Even if statistical analyses showed that the Astra Zeneca vaccine is correlated with blood clots with a p value of < 0.05, it does not mean that there is a causative effect. A statistical significance of < 0.05 means that one out of twenty analyses is a false correlation, i.e., a statistical blip.
I had my first Covid-19 shot two days ago. Yesterday, the site felt like a large bruise. Today, it is just a tiny bit sore to the touch. At this rate, the soreness will be gone in a day or so.
^ thanks
And as a side note: Disposable Blue Face Masks Found To Contain Toxic, Asbestos-Like Substance That Destroys Lungs.https://humansarefree.com/2021/04/bombshell-disposable-blue-face-masks-found-to-contain-toxic-asbestos-like-substance-that-destroys-lungs.html
answered your own question
“If they are so “rare,’ why the article then giving a ‘heads up’?”
I looked the word “rare” up in the dictionary. It said...
>rare...see Jen Psaki’s definition of “very uncommon”.
So the benefits of a vaccine for a disease with 99.6% survivability for those under 65 outweigh the possibility of blood clots that could literally kill you in seconds?
Hard pass.
What to do about it.
Don’t take the vaccine. 🤔
