I’m going to a “COVID-woke” Evangelical Church tomorrow morning maskless
Self | Apr 3, 2021 | fwdude

I’ll be going maskless to the early service tomorrow. This is a former church of mine that I attended several years ago until I saw the writing on the walls on how “seeker sensitive” they’ve been.

They require masks until you are seated. How far should I push this?

...10 compadres who are prepared to sitar and pray if it goes well.

I think bringing a sitar to church on Easter might be a little disruptive. 8~)

No doubt there are many problems in the churches, but many people are going to focus on God regardless. Your motive seems to be simply to provoke and disturb a worship service. Your question brought Romans 14 to my mind:

” 14 Accept the one whose faith is weak,(A) without quarreling over disputable matters. 2 One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables.(B) 3 The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt(C) the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge(D) the one who does, for God has accepted them. 4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant?(E) To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.

5 One person considers one day more sacred than another;(F) another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. 6 Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God;(G) and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7 For none of us lives for ourselves alone,(H) and none of us dies for ourselves alone. 8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.(I) 9 For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life(J) so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.(K)

10 You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister[a]? Or why do you treat them with contempt?(L) For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.(M) 11 It is written:

“‘As surely as I live,’(N) says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will acknowledge God.’”[b](O)

12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.(P)”

Apologies for the footnote parentheses but I don’t have time to clean it up. The point should be clear, however, and I believe the case is as applicable to mask wearing as it is to food and special days, or other disputable issues. This is guidance from the scripture, not the opinions of others, as in taking a poll.

“I won’t be causing a scene unless they cause it. I’ll likely just inconspicuously ask to speak with a higher-up if I’m stopped at the door for no mask. Then I’ll turn and leave if they confirm that I’m not welcome.“

Seems perfectly reasonable to me. I like the idea of peacefully asking establishments to confirm the fact, face to face, that you must wear a mask. Helping tyranny take root and move forward, to aid it in the enslavement of a people, is about the polar opposite of what tomorrow means.

It would be a heck of a thing to see a church turn someone away, not sure I have ever witnessed that myself. I think you will have no problems.

The time for bravery and not silly, mostly pointless stands was 3 months ago when our Presidency was stolen.

Now we sound like little kids thinking about taking a cookie out of the jar without mom knowing and hoping we don’t get caught.

There was a LOT of room to be brave in January.

None of us were.

Putting a band aid on a gushing wound won’t quite stop the bleeding.

Some would say, “what would Jesus do?”

I believe it important to remember that throwing chairs and flipping over tables is not out of the question.

Btw, the above is not mine, I read it somewhere. But it does have its place in a day and age that to be Christian seems to mean always turn the other cheek.

It’s the church’s property and they get to make the rules.

You are contemplating being a rude a*hole. Don’t do it.

I’m a lady and you’ll get no flames from me

Women capitulating to this lie and acting like Karen’s is gutting me. I cannot believe what I’m seeing

The “vaccine” doesn’t work and isn’t necessary. And masks also do not work. There’s no suppression of viral transmission from a filthy face diaper.

For those self-righteous FReepers insistent on gaslighting you, they must not believe in the 8th commandment because masks are a lie. Donning a filthy face diaper to go to church is submitting to and perpetuating a lie.

I will be attending Holy Mass in the morning. I have never worn a face diaper into church. Never. And I will not.

"If the state recommends, for the good of the people, that for ease of transactions everyone will be transacting “cashless” and that a scanable chip be implanted with the same information as your debit card so that you are always prepared for purchases, would you comply? I mean, what could be more inocuous than facilitating people buying bread?"

No, nor submit to permanently wearing a mask at all times and one that severely restricts breathing or in our own property, or needing a vaccine passport to buy or sell (which even the ACLU opposes!) - which is indeed a conditioning precursor to the mark of the Beast. And although Covid restrictions are conditioning the masses to accept permanent losses of freedom of movement etc, yet your analogy to implantation of a chip to mask wearing fails in objective analysis.

For in contrast to a temporarily being required to wearing mask in public places that you can put on and remove and is only required in public places, and in effect simply hinders breathing and expression and does not necessarily signify agreement, and can be justified by the state as "for the good of the people" as would be the case in the after effects of a dirty bomb, the implantation of a chip is permanent, and is a form of mutilation, even a form of branding, and as a requirement for all in order to buy or sell it is not justified as one should not even have to use a credit card and should be be free to barter etc. And beyond even that would be the wilful exaltation of the ruler (and or state) as a God and dependence upon it as if it were God. An ruler-worship example that Revelation 13 warns of is,

And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king’s chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king’s country. And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost. (Acts 12:20-23)

And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (Revelation 13:14-17)

Yet some people believe that even a SS number or drivers license is akin to taking the mark, or saluting the flag is akin to taking the Mark, as signifying ideological allegiance which is equated to worship by such, and thus we must differentiate such from what the Bible warns of is coming. For by itself, without any ideological allegiance to a ruler, the implantation of a chip could be seen by many as justified "for the good of the people" as reducing crime etc.. However, there are other means for this, and such will contain far more than the same information as your debit card and which itself enables tracking. And what unequivocally excludes the implantation of a chip is the attribution of powers to deity to the state, of worship, which will go along with the mark, signifying unequivocal allegiance and devotion as to a God.which is what Revelation contextually warns of, versus paying taxes you are not obligated to pay but easily can, or slaves serving masters, or under duress wearing a mask in public due to the priority of promoting the gospel. Which is the only reason I inconsistently wear a breathable fleece mask in public.

Don’t waste your time. They belong to Satan anyway.
There is a splinter Orthodox Episcopalian Church out there.
Find one and attend

" I do t mike masks either but wearing one to worship is hardly equal to worshipping satan. "

Yet as said, some people believe that even a SS number or drivers license is akin to taking the mark, or saluting the flag, but that is not what Rev. contextually condemns, though effectively saluting the flag of Sodom, which is being increasingly required, is. What some of the old rapture movies picture is took close to reality. Below are some scenes from my favorite end times movie, Years of the Best (though I believe the rapture is the first resurrection, at the end of the Trib., or the that mark will be an actual 666 number in the hand, as in the image below, but it will signify worship of the Beast, which Acts 12:21-22 is a example of.) .

YOTB-1

YOTB-2

YOTH-Mark

YOTB-Enemies+State

you are correct the mark will involve an irrevocable act of worship of the antichrist. Many things around us could be considered forerunners of the mark but are not evil in themselves ( ie debit cards). It is no sin to use them. However as I said before if you wish to protest a mask order do so with the governing body that issued it do not disrupt worship on Easter Sunday. As a practical matter alone how many people do you think you would win to your cause doing so?
I don’t agree with you on the rapture I am pretrib or at the very least. is trib as the Bible tells us we are not appointed to wrath. God took Noah and Lot to safety before judgement fell not after. However this is not a salvific issue, Christians can and do disagree. I think we will all know quite soon. Maranatha
