it certainly was never intended to be used against any dem. Some of them gladly take the photo op but those who are riddled with dementia just put a lid on the day and nobody says boo about it.
Nat’l Power Policy had nothing to do with Texas’ poer failure issues. The people that ran the major power company in Texas has converted ~25% of the states power to Green Energy. Solar and Windmills. And, the state gov’t knew this and went right along with it. Even the NatGas systems needed work and this was known for years. Recommendations made and they were ignored. Never acted upon.

Personally, I have always thought that ‘officials’ getting photo ops from a natural disaster was not in the best interest because all they are really doing is disrupting the rescue efforts, especially if they have to provide a lot of ‘security’ for the ‘visitor’.
OTOH, I have thought that ‘pardoning’ the turkey at Thanksgiving was not a good idea....
