FX's American Crime Story anthology has cast Edie Falco as Hillary Clinton in its next season, which covers the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton.
The multiple Emmy winner will join the A-list ensemble of Impeachment: American Crime Story, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Falco will star with Sarah Paulson (Linda Tripp), Beanie Feldstein (Monica Lewinsky), Clive Owen (Bill Clinton) and Annaleigh Ashford (Paula Jones) in the limited series.
The cast also includes Betty Gilpin as right-wing pundit Ann Coulter and Billy Eichner as Matt Drudge.
Falco's deal to play the former first lady, New York senator and secretary of state has been in the works for months and recently closed.
In 2019 FX chief John Landgraf told THR that Hillary Clinton would not be "one of the main characters" in the story. The casting of Falco, however, would seem to indicate otherwise.

Let’s see here....
A Chief Executive of an organization spots a low level employee in that organization in a hotel lobby, and sends an aide to summon her to his hotel room.
He propositions her.
She sues for sexual harassment.
He perjures himself during his sworn testimony at deposition in that sexual harassment lawsuit.
He was President of the United States at them time.
The ensuing impeachment was not about a fictitious “Russian Collusion” or about a fictitious “insurrection”
It was about a President who was willing to lie under oath in order to avoid paying the price for his abuse of a female former employee.

To really get into character is Falco going to have to smell like boiled cabbage, urine, and farts, as Podesta alegedly said.
Impeachment a crime story?
The crime is the impeachment investigation began a year before anyone of us knew the name of Monica Lewinsky
Billy clinton used executive privilege claims to hide his crimes
Good thing I wasn’t the casting person.
Someone to play Hillary Clinton?
Hmmmmm.....
Let’s see.....
Herbie The Love Bug comes to mind.
The iceberg from Titanic.
Scooby Do
Rosanne Barr
Who plays Huma!? (The sicker the better!) Okay, I’ll go first: Either Whoopie or Big Mike!
Sharon Stone reminds me more of Hillary.
Sofia Coppola as Huma.
Oh, sure, when I saw ‘Basic Instinct,’ the resemblance is uncanny.
Let Hollywood’s latest revisionist history begin.
Is Billy Eichner gay enough to pull off playing Matt Drudge?
Why yes he is!
Good casting....she’s already played the not so well treated wife
Agree. She has the talent to knock the role out of the park. What i cant tell from the article is is this meant to be a puff piece ir The Truth.

AND put on a few(??) pounds and look frumpy.
As stated, she did play the ‘second hand/abused wife’ and was also a prison guard.....
She played the wife in SOPRANOS...
In the movie, Sharon Stone character did have a girlfriend...
There was a sequel to BASIC INSTINCTS...The movie was not that good.
I remember when the original was filming in San Francisco 30 years ago. Dykes were actually protesting the shoot, as apparently they’d got ahold of the script and were unhappy to have lesbianism associated with a violent, sociopathic character. A different era, for sure. But yeah, I saw that sequel on one or another of the free streaming services. It was a lame, pointless movie. Giving the devil her due, Stone has got the femme fatale schtick down. But the sequel was indicative that the mere existence of a functional character isn’t enough to carry a movie.
