I remember when the original was filming in San Francisco 30 years ago. Dykes were actually protesting the shoot, as apparently they’d got ahold of the script and were unhappy to have lesbianism associated with a violent, sociopathic character. A different era, for sure. But yeah, I saw that sequel on one or another of the free streaming services. It was a lame, pointless movie. Giving the devil her due, Stone has got the femme fatale schtick down. But the sequel was indicative that the mere existence of a functional character isn’t enough to carry a movie.
I do remember gays being not happy with the film...
