Our Supreme Court is now part of the Washington Swamp, and the Washington Swamp is now totally divorced from any understanding of or caring about the rest of the nation.
For a couple of years, my wife and I escaped Obama’s America by owning a Pacific Ocean hotel in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. The irony was that in supposedly socialist Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega's government left us alone far more than government did in the supposedly free country of the United States of Obama.
Still, while Ortega 2.0 might have shed most of his socialism, he had not shed his lust for power, and the job of making sure he never lost again was that of the Chief Justice Roberto Rivas Reyes of what is in effect the Nicaraguan Supreme Court. I’m not sure who was actually more powerful or corrupt -- President Ortega or Justice Rivas -- but Rivas’s was bigger. His motorcade, that is, and he owned the two biggest homes on the two most elevated lots in San Juan del Sur, the nation’s top coastal town, a few hundred yards from our hotel.
Today I’m not sure whose court is more corrupt vis-a-vis election law: Nicaragua’s court or our Supreme Court. It appears that Donald Trump has remade the U.S. Supreme Court -- in Mitt Romney’s image! (I am not blaming Trump, just stating the obvious.)
While I think the United States Supreme Court stumbled badly in its 7-2 rejection of the Texas case on standing last year, the refusal to “grant cert” (i.e., to take the case) yesterday in a Pennsylvania case is horrifying beyond words. I could say that our election laws are now full-on banana republic, but I’d hate to insult bananas that badly.

The story of the 2020 election was the utter failure of the state legislatures in all of these contested states to rectify blatant violations of their own election laws.
Democrats threatening the court with irrelevancy by packing it didn’t help either.
True that Alberta, it was the PA legislature that should have stepped in when the PA Supreme Court made its unconstitutional ruling. They did not. The US S Ct set it up to make the case moot, there is no constitutional remedy now that Buyden is in, and to craft one would bring in additional constitutional questions, great instability in this country and into the world beyond what either of us could imagine.
That said, is any voter in PA entitled to have his sacred right to vote protected when his own givernment acts in an unconstitutional manner, when there is a federal interest at stake? Tell me where a PA voter, or a candidate for federal office is to go when their constitutional rights are trampled by its state government?
That left Congress in certifying the election, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Had the tables been turned with these exact facts, you can bet (1) a demonkkkrap PA legislature would have fixed it, or if it did not (2) the demonkkkraps in Congress would have fixed it with Mitt’s, Collins’ and a few other GOP helpers. And don’t fool yourself, the Supreme Court would have stepped in too, in November, and not wait until February after Trump was sworn in again. All the leftists on the court would have joined up with Thomas, Alito and Gorsuch to make sure of that. A reading of Machiavelli explains why the institutions did not take action (like they were going to risk having another 4 years of Trump).
A fake fortune teller could have predicted this outcome looking into a black Brunswick bowling ball. The Supreme Court purposely avoided the issue and then ran out the clock. Alito wrote an opinion on October 28th (PA Republicans v Bockvar) “It would be highly desirable to issue a ruling on the constitutionality of the [PA Court’s] decision before the election. That question has national importance, and there is a strong liklihood that the State Supreme Court decision violates the Federal Constitution.”
The Supreme Court, a political body, has a long history of bad decisions that have actually cost people their lives and freedoms. Add this one to the list.

Yes, it is embarrassing that the U.S. Supreme Court will not even consider cases of rampant election fraud. I suppose the “justices” see what is happening to citizens who are being “canceled” and don’t want to take the risks.
PA had election laws on the books that they did not follow.

The legislature provided their own slate of electors (that Pence ignored).
The Secretary of State of PA (since resigned) changed the rules, the state Attorney General (Josh Shapiro) took it to the PA Supreme Court (5 D's, 2 R's, who, of course, ruled 5-2) that the "law" was fine. That is how the "law" was changed.
Now, how could it have easily been rectified by the state legislature?
While I dismissed her allegations at the time of confirmation, after yesterday, I have no doubt that Kavanaugh is perfectly capable of giving into peer pressure and participating in a gang bang.

The so called conservatives are allegedly in the majority 5-3, what does that tell you? Trump appointed three empty suits, cowardly liars all.
While I am not at the point to go that far, I am willing to move in the direction that the Ford issue softened him up - seeking approval from the left and media as needed, or at least buy some political protection.
The Supreme Court has ONE job; focus on the Constitution.
They have failed to do that.
Impeachment as soon as possible is the only Constitutional remedy.

Lawyer Robert Barnes, who I’ve been following the last year, says one major problem was nominating “conservative” judges all promoted by the Federalist Society. They will all turn out to be “swamp creatures.”

ACB is indeed a coward. Sure she fears for what threats to her family would come if she allowed for a full blown hearing on election fraud, but patriots who fought for America’s independence faced the same threats.

During the vicious onslaught against Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump, in concert with his entire coalition of ardent supporters and voters gave Kavanaugh as much political protection, benefit of the doubt and good faith as any figure in American politics has ever received.
If Kavanaugh is now seeking protection or good graces from the very same left and media that were hell bent on destroying him by turning on those that supported him, his character is even more despicable than the allegations against him made him out to be.
